It wasn't on a tracking mount, it was just five photos taken in quick succession before the moon could move out of shot. Kit was an olympus e-m1 (mark 1), five shots at ISO 800, 1/400th, and this cheap-and-cheerful telescope that's roughly speaking a 1250/f13.8 lens if you mount a camera to the back of it.
(I did pick up one of the moveshootmove trackers and have playing with it a bit, but I really need to go somewhere that a:isn't my back garden surrounded by house / garage / trees / street lights and b:not have 50km/hour winds, because those are not ideal conditions for long exposures).
The original photos were significantly blurrier because it was windy / the air wasn't super clear, so stacking them helps to get a bit more detail.
I was playing the fun game of "Where in the world is this picture!" today. My first thought was South Dakota, but then I checked the username. Oh well, Yorkshire Dales / Badlands what's the difference? (I got family in Doncaster, I know British geography! Don't @ me)
This sounds like my nightmare scenario.
The other one was very dark grey and along the fence in the background
One of the road runners that moved into my backyard
The crows will harass it so often it will go to the cactus patch or along the house to prevent from getting dive bombed
It taught me I should probably not have just one single catalog with 35000 photos. Once I fix this I suppose I’ll start by breaking it up into one catalog per year.
Edit: I'm a little shocked to learn that having one enormous Lightroom catalog is actually the best practice...So I guess if it gets mysteriously and suddenly fucked (my only warning was a popup that the database was corrupt and needed to be repaired) your only recourse is to just cross your fingers that it's not TOO fucked?
Realistically if I just restore the backup it's not too much work lost, but I did edit like 8 or 9 photos...I guess I could just export those, restore the backup, then reimport.
Tch! I knew it! I blame the new version of All Creatures Great and Small. Everything is the Dales.
The Jogasaki Coast Trail:
A few months ago I posted the above trailer for this game that looks inspired by Simon's Quest. It's supposed to be out today (they're having some issues with making it buyable on Steam at the moment), but to my pleasant surprise, it's also on Game Pass! Going to give it a try today, I think.

The game lets you make choices at certain points, but as far as I know I've only taken the good paths.
Fun achievement names for those into heavy metal.
There's a fun optional

I do normally try not to take so many looking upwards photos but I couldn't help it
I only did like 5 of the new maps (I was tired and that was enough progress for yesterday :P) but so far pretty easy. But the early ones are always easy too.
The currency kinda feels like it might be a pain to get? I haven't even gotten enough for the character tokens yet and I've essentially done 10 stages (5 + challenge mode for each). Is there some kind of achievement thingy that gives more rewards I'm not seeing? There usually is one but I didn't see one here, just the store and movies.
Regular stages pay out too, just play as normal once you clear the event stages.
Yeah but it's gonna be slow going

See I've done this too often to the point I feel I have to actively stay on top of these events now so I don't fuck it up again :P
JUST KIDDING
All CMs done! And the last breath of VI-7 CM's final boss.
VI-7 Challenge Mode was fucking INSANE though. FUCKIN' OP BOSS RUSH GO GO GO. Christ christ christ and the CM conditions, too. +75% redeployment cd!!!! A borrowed Carnelian was pretty clutch for my strat.
edit: Oh yeah I recorded my normal VI-7 clear, changed some things up for the autodeploy cause I wanted to Have Fun and use other operators
I just think La Pluma is neat
Lappland also SURPRISINGLY good on this map cause she can silence top lane out ezpz and the big chonkers don't get their dumb stuns off

VI-7 and CM took a couple tries to get just right. Ended up blocking Patriot with Surtr for the first phase.
I could really use Thorns... Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll show up in the store.

Skadi's 3000 Atk score still gives the sick electronic music beats of "daboom, swish, daboom, swish" vs Patriot.
Edit: A meme.

I beat the game yesterday and didn't realize I accidentally stumbled into the Ultimate Good ending. I was just trying to get through all the dungeon/castle areas that I saw, including some bonus areas. Anyway, I actually would like to see the other endings. This is a pretty good game! It's not without its flaws (the fourth castle was a nightmare for me), but it's got more going for it than not.
And I had heard about the spoiler you posted and did it myself after beating the game. Hilarious.

I think VI-6 (? or was it 5?) was giving me the most trouble out of all of them. I might have to look up the map to remember what was screwing me over because I totally forgot after the craziness of VI-7.
Edit: OH YEAH, fucking FrostNova! Yeah, that was the bullshit stage. Sometimes I'd even have her under control but the fact that she kept freezing my entire squad meant that other stupid little mooks were slipping through them. I think ultimately the solution for me was swapping around my setup a little so Siege was guarding the left side instead of the right (other side was Blaze the frost effect MVP)
I'm "kupiyupaekio" on Discord.
Not at all. Infernax is a true gem and the perfect call back to Simon's Quest. Highly recommended, but be warned, it's really tough (lots of insta-death pits/lava in the later dungeons).
