Keep in mind that I'm speaking in anger right now.

I think whoever they had working on Aurora forgot to actually play-test the game on Hard mode and above.
In Hard Mode (and Nightmare), Zangetsu 2 gains a new ultimate attack where he traps you in a sphere of hanafuda cards and blows it up. There's no avoiding getting caught up in it (except by some kind of glitch I can't seem to reproduce); your only means of surviving this attack in Miriam Mode is to use Final Guard or something similar to make yourself invincible when the attack goes off.

Aurora has a guard move, but it only blocks physical attacks, not magical ones (and the rotation of the death-sphere ruins your stance anyway). She gets a few pre-set familiars, but none of them produce any kind of shield (and I have the full party from Child of Light by now). I ran across the entire map available to me without beating Gebel, and found no special defensive option. I finally, finally managed to beat Zangetsu by crouching on the opposite side of him from where the attack initiated, which glitched the physics enough that I fell out of it, which I 100% guarantee is not the intended solution.

So basically, if you're going to play as Aurora, play on Normal mode, because Hard mode is, under normal circumstances, not completeable.

EDIT: I may have spoken too soon?
The Rubella (rock guitar demon) summon has a pretty significant heal on it. They might have expected you to float around full health using that summon to keep yourself topped up. If so, that's on me.

Actually not true. I can't speak for certain about any character but Miriam but:
Honestly? Crouch very close next to him when he's firing off the attack. You'll slip right out of the bubble. Like I said, no idea about other characters but if they can crouch I assume it works :P Unless their hitbox is weird or something.

Edit: Oh, I should have actually read the whole thing. You figured it out :P I don't know if Aurora has a similar move but Dimension Shift was also always the surefire way to escape :P

    ... what?
You get Dimension Shift in the Frozen Abyss, which you can only get to after beating Gebel with the sword you get from Zangetsu 2 (or associated power).

And I'm going to stand by that falling out of the move by lodging yourself in his hitbox feels enough like a physics error that if it's the intended solution, it's still dumb. XP

Been working my way through episode 8. I usually have a high tolerance of overly wordy dialog, but man this episode just broke me. I've just been reading the synopses from the skip button, except for the last couple fights and even then, mostly tapping through them since they seem to be just saying the same thing over and over. I like the atmosphere, and the themes, but if this was a novel, I'd say that they really have needed to pay an editor or 3 to tighten up the writing.

I'm on JTB8-3 (the last(?) battle in episode 8) and I am just kinda clueless how to even approach this fight. Should I use a fast-redeploy specialist to draw the flaming circle of death away from the other units? And the weird pathing just makes my head hurt.

Edit: With the oringinium I got from episode 8, I was finally able to snag Blaze :)

Real talk, I stopped reading event dialogue and the game is much more tolerable. I like game more but they’ve somehow made reading it completely terrible for me. Chapter 8 was exhausting to read. Chapter 9 was not bad.

Something about the writing style and the way they present it in game is miss.

I stopped reading for the reason of it takes too long. All the dialog is there to read later. But yes, I understand this. There's something wrong with the writing - like it feels like it's a literal translation (no "localization") from the Japanese/Chinese or something. Everything is very stiff and you kind of trip over words trying to read the sentences because a lot of them come across very awkwardly. I'm actually very curious once they add English voice acting to this thing if stuff will work better spoken aloud.

Got Ashlock on pull 9 of my first 10 for the 5*+ unit... I'm scared of how this luck will come back to haunt me on the Nearl banner.
Anyone got any idea what makes this Sniper cool? Was honestly just pulling to get the last yellow certs I need to buy the monthly tickets; really didn't expect to get anything on this banner.

she has extended range and high base attack compared to normal anti-air snipers
her s2 gives her the ability to attack blocked enemies anywhere on the map with increased attack speed for duration
her s3 narrows her range into a single line in front of her but extends that line infinitely on top of giving her massive stacking attack bonuses

I was moderately OK at Street Fighter II for the SNES and could pull off a lot of those motions, but they were definitely harder with the PS1's D-pad. But I still did them, and I feel no shame in exploiting Soul Steal.

"Everything Everywhere All At Once" (2022) is a new movie by the Daniels (Daniel "Dan" Kwan (關家永) and Daniel Scheinert), who made their name doing music videos of all things. This is their sophomore movie, after the quirky and bonkers "Swiss Army Man" (2016), and it's getting rave reviews by both critics and the general public (something like 97% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience score as of this writing).

    untpkvtvydgn.jpg

The movie is about Evelyn (played by Michelle Yeoh, known for many roles), who is married to a drip of a husband (played by Ke Huy Quan, better known for his performance as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and his role in Goonies) and is undergoing an IRS audit of her laundromat business (spearheaded by a hilarious performance by Jamie Lee Curtis). However, she discovers that she can tap into the multiverse and access other "what if?" versions of herself. The result is a madcap genre mashup of movies that defies categorization, but anchored with great performances from the principal actors as well as a solid emotional heart.

This is an OPEN SPOILER thread. Discuss.

Their VFX team was 5 people! FIVE PEOPLE!
    https://youtu.be/hFFopPPrGiE

Here's a breakdown of a few key scenes from the movie from the Directors and Michelle Yeoh.
    https://youtu.be/C2k3esJHFuE

Michelle Yeoh's reaction to the script:

Ke Huy Quan's attitude and gratitude are infectious. Here is a Jimmy Kimmel Interview:
