Except, WHAT IF it was the correct thread?
Knowing this about yourself, might I make the suggestion you try to put forth your firm, concrete expectations/boundaries in writing (text/email) and copy everyone involved before meeting/calling again first?
Oftentimes, parents like this who don't care to respect personal boundaries don't want to have stuff written down in plain, understandable English - they insist on meeting in person, calling, or doing a video chat, and proceed to use the entire opportunity to gaslight/manipulate/guilt trip/pity party/crocodile tear/dismiss the situation entirely, and make you agree it should be dismissed
Maybe the reason they choose not to understand how to text or email is because, on some level, they realize what they would actually communicate in writing would seem unreasonable to anyone who hadn't learned to read between their lines for near-40 years
If you fear meeting them in person might mean betraying your own convictions (if that's what I'm reading; if I'm not, I apologize) I think drawing a line now, in writing, "in public" might be a decision you should consider
Edit - Given your brother, his family, and the holiday of course, I'd understand having to "take the hit" one more month and needing to grin and bear it until January, which...seems like the best option, but still, I am so sorry that is your situation
I hate the Solaris rep in particular
What was the 28 test? It's been a while... was it the stand in the very rapidly moving capture zones one? I think I used titania for that.
No no, those were fine--okay for some value of fine--with Limbo and all the sprint speed I could scrape up. This was the fucking thermia canisters and invulnerable mobs. It would be fine if half of them weren't eximus and now immune to CC, thanks to the overguard changes.
I didn't have much trouble with that but I have some very strong guns
Definitely had a lot of practice rounds to get a feel for collecting the canisters efficiently and grouping the enemies up well to catch a lot in each canister
I don't think it would have been remotely troubling if it wasn't for not having been updated when they changed all the eximus units. Something like half the mobs running around are immune to CC and will cheerfully spam their abilities at you while invulnerable. Pull out the eximus, or otherwise do something so that half the enemies spawned aren't affected by your strategy, and it's back to how it used to be.
The Rogue Voidrigs that spawn in the Labs while you're doing other stuff (*cough* Waiting for Eyeballs *cough*) have a pretty good drop rate on Lanthorns as well. So far, I've found I'm roughly at parity between spending them on stuff in the Sanctum Anatomica and getting them from kills during missions.
I bet you weren't getting air-juggled by hordes of Blitzes.
I believe the next test is "kill some things", so a little uneven there on the challenge level.
I was wondering what the difference was, thank you. Funnily enough Bloodborne has the same percentage for both so I guess i just got lucky lol. I do still think it is a bit strange that a game focused around Victorian England with a Lovecraftian mythos would sell so well there. Unless they are especially fond of those things and i am just unaware.

I might be mistaken about that though now that I think about it
Basically it's a shitty test is what I'm saying, and I hate it and it should feel bad about itself. (Though not as bad as post-ability-removal 9, or the other stealth tests.)
Continued, leveled up precious kuva grenade launcher
Did wisper intro, did not expect spectacles to be who it was

Serpent Spine (obviously) or this patch's event claymore seem to be the leading choices. Sacrificial Greatsword seems surprisingly decent on her as well.
Oh you're absolutely right, I hadn't noticed this. Also I realized I was wrong, they DO have their "head" hitbox in the little keyhole in their backs just like in deimos vaults. So if you can get them to hold still or have an ally to distract them, get behind them and unload in the keyhole to kill them a lot more easily, just like in deimos vaults.
Unrelated, does this mod look like it has any practical use? I can't think of any:

Tidal Shadow is craftable, and is also fine.
I am going to have a panic attack. What the heck is any of this stuff?! I didn't even recognize the frame I was in until I reread its abilities. And it wasn't some weird one I had just leveled for mastery either; I was using Wisp a lot. Real dick move refunding all my focus points and some of my lenses, by the way. Like I remember where any of these were supposed to go! I liked the energy regen ones, I think? Doesn't explain what 2.2 million in Madurai was supposed to be for, though!
God, I hadn't even truly figured out how Railjack stuff works yet. Like, to the point that I spent zero intrinsic points because I didn't know what was useful. And now there's now how many completely new progression and upgrade systems from after that? This was such a bad idea.
It doesn't give me more arcanes so "meh". I am currently trying to hate the people who run ahead and fail to kill the angel to death with my mind, because nobody ever seems to notice it paths you right past it eventually, and I need the god damn arcane too. This is not faster. Faster is spam probes.
they refunded all the lenses and focus points because they completely revamped the operator focus abilities, the energy one is no longer as much of a no-brainer to take, the other schools are actually useful now lol
also there's some content where your operator's damage matters now
e: sorry for multiposting, got lost in the sauce.
I'm glad this event is letting me finally rank up some of my good eidolon arcanes I could only ever find one of, I didn't quite realize just how much more ranks of arcane velocity would boost mesa lol. I just had the rank 0 of it before.
Okay, don't panic. You're a smart girl. You can figure this out. Just take it a little bit at a time.
Frames. Wisp is for go fast. I remember this now. Mesa is for shoot good. It is impossible to fuck up with Mesa. Trinity is for Eidolon farming. That seems like a great mechanic to not think about at all right now. Ivara is for spy missions. That's another one I should probably avoid for a sec. Nova is for...ummm...damage resistance? Doesn't look like I was built for any of these other buttons. Saryn is for AoE but I didn't actually use her that much. I don't have a Valkyr loadout anymore; I think I outgrew her at some point. Mag was my first frame but she was never in the meta. Equinox is for...fuck. That's the end of those memories, I guess. It's good enough for now.
Weapons. Fuck leveling any new weapons for now. Re-learn what I have.
Atomos is still here. Atomos has never let me down before and it isn't going to start now. So I'm sure the fact that I have zero recollection of any of these other secondaries is no problemo.
Melee is melee. I know they did a bunch of weird stuff in the melee rework but I don't remember it amounting to much in practice. I mostly used this staff I made, I think. Staves are cool.
Looks like I was using a lot of Acceltra as my primary. That can't be good; I feel like I remember hearing that they nerfed that thing to the ground at one point. Vaykor Hek is a name that sparks familiarity now that I read it again. I used a ton of this. Let's see, Mesa was using...Rubico Prime? A sniper rifle?? Really? I guess I'll take my word for it. I remember thinking that the Telos Bolter and one or both of these bows were cool, but I'm not sure I actually used them much. Opticor Vandal and Arca Plasmor sound like names that I should remember but don't. I'm pretty sure none of the rest of these were important.
Companions. Carrier is what most people defaulted to for the vacuum. Lulubelle is the loot kitty and Almond is the crit kitty. I don't really remember what my doggies do, or any of my other robots, but I'm pretty sure they were always off-meta compared to the first three.
I'm sure I can find a guide on the focus stuff easily enough; that's not that big of a deal.
They've released...god. Thirteen new frames. Well, I mostly only care about collecting the lady frames, so they narrows it down to six. Maybe I'll check out Xaku as well for seven. If I look up how to obtain those, that'll probably give me some kind of direction on what to do, yeah? Looks like a lot of these are locked behind quests. Maybe I should be doing quests.
yeah but what if instead of killing everything you could double kill everything
re: frames:
Wisp is also just a great general purpose and team support frame, everyone loves going fast and shooting fast in all content.
Nova is good for missions where you stand in one place and wait for waves of guys to run at you and get mowed down, if you give her negative ability power so her 4 makes things walk faster instead of slower. She is also very hard to kill with her 1 up, and the augment mod that makes her 1 refresh its charges when things die with her death explosion debuff on them.
Saryn's great for stuff where there's high spawn rates and dense enemies, so hard content. Her 1's spores spread themselves around and inflict increasing damage the longer they are out infecting stuff, and inflict corrosive debuffs to strip enemy armor easily which is very valuable in hard content. Then buff your good guns to be even stronger with her 3, and occasionally use her 4 if you want to clear the room, or her 2 to get shots off of you if things are getting hairy.
Doing quests is generally a good plan, they introduce you to/unlock new content, though it's still gonna be a lot at once.
Oh yeah and you don't need carrier for vacuum anymore, vacuum is now equippable by all pets. Animal pets have a different mod for it called fetch. Carrier's gimmick is now converting ammo pickups into whatever you need IIRC.
Oh yeah, that did happen during my time. Ammo was the mechanic that Carrier was used for. Extra ammo drops or ammo conversion from one type to another or something to that effect.
Maybe rhino shield can take more than one hit? I wasn't on a PARTICULARLY indestructible frame, but yeah.
e: Some of Fibonacci's dialogue from the dojo statue is killing me. "Your dojo is a palace compared to some of the others I've seen. There's some real shitholes."
Free Lua lenses? Fuck yes. I don't recall focus being nearly this easy to get before, I capped it doing some low level endless relic cracking. Not sure I ever hit daily cap before.
...which is pretty much my first focus because I want to get some of the prime frames and kit and such I'm behind on now. Will definitely be running more of the event because that shop has a lot of attractive stuff in it though.
