What do y'all like in the even arcane shop? I bought a r1 energize and I'm probably going to grab some more Molt Augmented to rank it 1 or 2 but but sure what else is useful. Maybe a couple Aegis copies?

I already snagged all the non-arcane possibly time limited stuff

As much Energize as you can make yourself farm, and I am not kidding. Everything else in there isn't as widely applicable; I have r5 energize on basically every frame. Other than that, Barrier/Aegis are both good, a lot of the DPS arcanes are good, but Energize is the absolute hardest to get thing in there.

also DON'T spend event currency on zariman arcanes like molt augmented. The event is also an excellent passive source of void pinions, which are worth 5000 zariman rep a pop, making it a good source of zariman rep to buy those directly with. I trivially maxed out molt augmented by turning in pinions every day I remembered while farming event currency for the actually hard to get eidolon arcanes.

All the platinum mods are worth getting, but primarily Arcane Energize. The other two platinum arcanes have more niche uses. Barrier for example is really nice on Hildryn, but most time big shield builds have some way of getting overshields or other ways of protecting their shield or both (like Revenant. Revenant is a really strong candidate for a Melee Retaliation build).

Still looking for more to farm you crazy you?

Arcane Arachne is a solid ranged arcane. At max it's 30 seconds of +150% damage for ranged weapons after a Wall Latch (stacking or replacing Serration/Hornet's strike). So it's easy to trigger and a solid buff at max level.
Arcane Precision is extremely solid as well. +300% damage for 18s on headshot for secondary weapons.
If you like the Gotva (or other automatic crit hoses) I'd recommend the Arcane Acceleration. 30% chance to get +90% rate of fire for 9s when you crit.

I refuse to believe that you have more Gargoyle's cry credits after this so I'll stop here (and if you do I'm going to stop anyway since that's an unhealthy amount of warframe grinding and you need to stop).

    Be like me: Do both.

(Don't be like me, me is insane. Me however never needs to go near an Eidolon again for anything that's not a shard.)

Edit: TBH if you're doing SP, it's only 2x runs per gold arcane at worst. Pretty doable for those; it's the legendaries that hurt. (4 runs per.)

I made it my mission to max all the Eidolon arcanes during this event. I ran Eidolons off and on for a few years, got a few Commons maxed (but not even anything good like Nullifier). Got Energize to R2 with the Nightwave rewards at some point. Juiced hundreds of excess Steel Path et all arcanes when dissolution came out and made significant progress on the catalog. Been running 3-6+ SP Effervo runs every day, and dumping Zariman and Quills rep every day (probably have 100+ days of Quills rep stockpiled and Zariman is self sustaining during the event). After finishing the Cavia, dumped their rep on melee arcanes so every drop from the event is also juiced. 2-4 packs a day. Built a spreadsheet to track everything and been watching the Runs Per Day ticking down from 12, to 9, to now under 3.

Not maxing Barrier. All my homies hate Barrier.

I actually skip that one on most runs now, because I hate multi-bosses and I'm either going to Brightbug and annihilate them or get real annoyed with it. I also skip Gank Squad for similar reasons, it doesn't feel difficult it just feels tedious.

The sword from that fight is one of my favorite weapons in Souls, though.

Now I'm trying to think of my top 10 13 weapons for Soulsborne.

    In no particular order:
    • Thrall Axe: fast axe with quick step and strong damage
    • Beast Cutter: secretly just a horizontal UGS
    • Threaded Cane: it's just neat
    • Loyce Greatsword: longsword-ish greatsword with a cool stance and animations
    • Astora Greatsword: classiest horizontal UGS. shoutout to the DS1 Zweihander though for being the ultimate problem solver of that type.
    • Estoc: Always looks cool even in games where it's kinda underwhelming for pve. DS2 version wins for being strong as fuck though.
    • Pursuer UGS: Cool looking vertical UGS with high counter damage
    • Yhorm's Great Machete: I love this thing for crushing everything with no subtlety or planning
    • Lothric Knight Sword: Probably my favorite straight sword, and I love straight swords
    • Ringed Knight Spear: The coolest spear in any of these games because of the awesome RK weapon arts, though the silverblack spear in DS2 is actually the best partisan moveset spear
    • Warden's Twinblades: I love the way dual curved swords look and feel, and these are real good
    • Gold Tracer: my favorite curved sword to 2h. Carthus and Follower's Saber are good too.
    • Godskin Stitcher: I love the idea of oversized thrusting swords so when they showed up in ER I was hype...and this one is gorgeous

I seriously have no clue what the hell is happening on Deimos. I've finished a level 5 without much trouble all the way through and dead-ended on like, level 2 and level 3s because I couldn't kill anything anymore and any relevant NPCs just melt. This last time I just got drowned in mobs while the samples drone guy was supposed to be uploading. Drone went down instantly and then no more data went through for like a minute until it failed. I guess I was supposed to revive it or something?

But I was ass-deep in mobs as sturdy as any on the top difficulty even though it was like...the second stage of the 30-40 difficulty?

Everything down there is literally immune to Viral, so swap to Corrosive/Heat if you haven't. Also, sounds like you're soloing? Probably not the most efficient choice, I don't believe anything down there scales per player count.

Otherwise, yep, sounds like Deimos, home of the juggernaut platoon.

My personal Moon Gundam is in storage at the moment, so the pics aren't the greatest.

Really, it feels like a love child between Char and Amuro the Sazabi and the Nu Gundam.

It's engineering was kind of a precursor/prototype for the high quality of the Witch from Mercury kits. Very satisfying.

I've been using Whisperain as my default medic lately. Partly just because I have no 6 star healers and she's one of the two five stars I have. But she's a therapist so she's easy to use, and she's got that powered up state and trait that make up for the worse base numbers that being a therapist gets her. And that powered up state is pretty easy to reach, as long as I'm not really delaying in getting her out she's basically always in it by the time waves have escalated to the point where you'd need it.
Has me wondering, what are some other medics that fit in that sort of probably not optimal, but don't make you think too hard niche?

I am a big fan of Honeyberry, I always used her S1, and the wandering medics have lower cost than the Therapist branch. Once you get him Lumen (also a Therapist) is quite good.

We bought our house with this weird wood textured ceramic tile in the kitchen and lounge room. I didn't think much of it but recently was having trouble properly cleaning the floor. I inspected up close and discovered that the texture consists of tonnes of ~1mm pits that dirt gets lodged in and impossible to remove. I now have to re-tile the kitchen and lounge room :(.

How hard is it to do by hand? Will it cost all the money? All the time? All the swearing?

    Alternative: seal the tile.

Basically, clean the tile really well, to the point that you're happy with the appearance, then apply a penetrating sealant. That's designed to fill the pores that you're complaining about. It does need to be re-applied every few years, but should be easier than re-tiling.

A steam mop might also help a lot when it comes to cleaning the tile.

I bought a gray pour-type marker to panel line my HG Aerial. It turned out alright, though I think there's a little more skill involved in the pour type markers than I was led to believe. I found that if I press hard enough to get a good flow I leave splotches where the marker tip was that have to be cleaned up. Fingers and cotton swabs are bit cumbersome for cleanup in tight spaces.

But I do like the overall result. I had so much fun putting it together I'm already thinking about picking up the Full Mechanics Aerial. And this time I'll do the panel lining during assembly where cleanup ought to be easier.

Absolutely have to clean up after pour types, sadly. My recommendation is tightly packed cotton swabs (not q-tips), and a half and half mix of rubbing alcohol and water. moisten the swab and lightly draw it over the flat parts and it'll leave the panel lines filled. Works best if you give it a little bit to "set."

And so ends my Sorc run of DS1. I made it to the Seath fight and it's probably the least amount of fun I've ever had with any DS character. Even the clams before the boss room are insanely difficult for me to kill. And, of course, this is how I get the Large Magic Ember in order to make my weapon a bit stronger. Oh well. Again, I know folks keep saying that Magic is easy mode in DS games but I honest-to-God have no idea what you're fucking on about lol. Having to target something in order to hit it and it breaking lock if they move further than 5ft from you is frustrating to begin with. Then if you miss your attack because they dodge or block then you're extra fucked.

Hitting Seath with 50 damage swings when I had 50 INT and 20 Attune and a few points into STR/DEX. I figured that he was strong to magic but yeah 50 was like 1 small bar's worth of damage per hit and he was hitting me for more than 80% of my HP. Ain't no way I'm killing this dude.

Are you trying to fight him from the front, or from behind? Because Seath is one of the very few bosses where I feel like it's actually way easier to fight him from the front. Him firing magic curse lasers at you when you're in front of him is way less threatening than him just thrashing his tentacles about when you're behind him.
