Out of curiosity, is there anyone who actually likes how the combining element system works? It's an interesting idea on paper, but it just felt so arbitrarily restrictive. I don't know if I can come up with a better alternative that works well with the modding systems that the game has now, but that doesn't mean what's there now is actually good.

I like it well enough, but I wouldn't be against them trying something new just to experiment.

I definitely recommend Magnetic on the Cycron, though. You can do Viral/Heat/Magnetic then, with Heat as your top proc priority. It's very melty. Very very melty.

I think (without checking in game) mine looks something like this but don't quote me, 'cause I also thought I had rad on it atm. You can swap the Viral to corrosive or w/e if you want, but as yet this stupid thing wrecks everything anyway, so I forget to change it up.

Lethal Torrent is kind of an option; you could stick the Rad mod in there too, but I haven't looked to see how DPS is affected.

Alas no, I was hoping there was some clever idea coming at it from above that I was simply overlooking.

Fortunately, I don't have to worry about the actual water pipes, it's just the drain that's in a dumbass janky position. And I have a full guest bathroom. I just wanted my bathroom back without having to wait until the thing naturally thaws. XD

I maybe a simple country hyperchicken, but wouldn't some warm water in the bath speed things up?

No, because you have to get the warm water down into contact with the ice plug in the trap and then keep it circulating because you have a relatively large amount of ice, and a small surface area of water contact in the pipe above it.

Spitballing, threading a tube down to the blockage and using a pump to push hot water directly against it and wet vac the backflow out of the tub as needed.might work? That's just a spitballing, sure you can build something train of thought.

I'm just waiting out the weather until it spends enough time above -10F that it thaws out on it's own. Sooner or later I'll have some reason to open up the kitchen ceiling beneath it, and can figure out what insulation flaw let's that gap get so cold when it hits subzero Temps outside.

IIRC the way innate elements works is they are considered to be on an invisible mod at the end of the list for the purposes of combining, so they'll combine with whatever the last uncombined element in the loadout is, if there's no other mod adding that element earlier in the order

So how far above curve is the above curve stuff in this game, anyhow? I've been assuming that with the way a game like this wants to make a bunch of different characters with a bunch of different abilities, every once in a while they'll accidentally make one that's like twice as good as the second best character in the role. But I dunno maybe it's like, the absolute best DPS is still just like 15% better than the median.

It's not. Gauss drops from Sedna Disruption C waves, but the Acceltra and Akarius blueprints are random drops from the Infested Demolishers on Ur, Uranus. With 4 demolishers per round the average to get both is about 25 rounds of disruption on Ur (does not need to be consecutive, it can drop from any round).

It's good, but it's definitely not ubiquitous for me at this point. Between an elemental combo, crit/slash mods if applicable, both galvanized mods, maybe a riven, and maybe Hornet Strike, it's getting pretty crowded in there.

Something like this Catchmoon build for instance just can't fit it; I've got a riven on mine in place of Hornet Strike.

For dps, Lethal Torrent is one of the better mods still - 60% each fire rate and multishot. Of course, fire rate isn't pure upside, but still, for the capacity and slot it's really good. That specific build you linked I can see skipping it though since you're building both status and crit on it, and it pushes your fire rate too high for Hemorrhage.

It's a great mod if fire rate and multishot aren't your stats of diminishing returns. That stat is usually +damage for me, but sometimes it's mutishot especially with a riven. A given buff is only as good as its level relative to the other stats, outside needs for builds with specific effects

I finished Echo yesterday! My full series takes.
On a technical level, the series was fine. The action sequences are generally well-shot, and it's cool seeing an MCU story from an indigenous perspective. Well, a modern one, since we also had one in What If? My biggest issue is Maya's general lack of motivation. Like ... what exactly is her plan throughout the series? She wants to replace Fisk, apparently, but I'm not sure what motivates her to do that. Or why she needs to get back home to do it. Literally everyone she knows has been saying it's a bad idea. And for much of the series, she presumably thinks that Fisk is dead, so revenge is pretty empty. The game's main thematic point is Maya resolving the conflict between her heritage and her criminal upbringing, eventually leading to her becoming a righteous warrior, but she probably should have at least considered reconciling her past before she gets dragged into doing so.

Similarly, it seems weird how nobody addresses the elephant in the room involving Fisk. Up until the end, they never really brought up that the whole reason Maya shot him was because he had her father killed. She certainly found this believable enough, enough that he almost immediately reached that conclusion when her worst enemy told her, but you'd think that would have come up in the conversations. We the audience probably know the reason why (Fisk probably didn't want anyone to influence Maya except for him so he could have complete control over her,) but you'd think she'd want to hear it from him, especially since he was at least pretending to be apologetic. Well, no, Fisk wasn't pretending, exactly. He's just a narcissistic with severe arrested development who is convinced that saying the right things will get people to react the way he wants. Surprised he didn't get her a "Sorry I had your father killed" greeting card. Maybe a balloon.

My favorite episode was probably the third one. I appreciated the action sequence at the end, even if it was a little silly how there was a clown car full of mooks seemingly available at every moment. Sidebar though: The "Make America Skate Again" sign. Clearly, it was there intentionally, as it got smashed through at one point in the fight. But what are the implications of its existence? As far as I know, the only presidents the MCU had were various President Generic White Dudes. What, did Trump squeak in during the Blip or something?

It's additive, so it's diminishing returns in that a second multishot mod with identical states would not bring the same percentage increase in firepower.

Example: One 100% multishot mod gives you 200% firepower. Two multishot mods would give you 300% firepower. But if you added a 100% multishot+100% rate of fire mod you'd have 400% firepower. This effect is multiplied by the more mods you add.
4 multishot mods on a 100 dps weapon would give you 500 dps. But Base damage+Elemental damage+RoF+Multishot would give you 1600 dps.

^This. There's no specific diminishing returns in a mechanical sense, just in the sense of "don't just stack one thing for best results".

It also seems to be a good company in general. I feel confident when subscribing to them that the money is going directly to the creators and talent.

We took a portion of our profits for the year — which, we were profitable for the year, it was a privilege to be able to do this — and we redistributed it among anyone who had ever made $1 with us over the course of the year. So that includes cast and includes crew, includes folks who merely auditioned for us, because we pay folks to audition for us. But we had this sort of like minor moral crisis where we were like, we really don’t want to promote the fact that we did this too loudly. Because the point is to do good by these people. It’s not to turn it into a PR stunt.”

Yes, but only relative to the other mods/stats. Multishot can be a huge increase but when you have it unbalanced compared to the other stats a mod buffing those other stats will give a much bigger performance boost. It pays to figure out where the ideal balance is, even if you're just going on intuition rather than parsing the actual math. If you have a riven with decent multishot, the returns for damage with lethal torrent are diminished compared to buffing other stats that have not reached that saturation point.
