    right, it always prioritizes actual mods for combining before combining with the innate element, thus why it's like an invisible extra mod at the end of the list.

    Archon hunts are way too long and obnoxious to ever do for me. Netracells are so much faster.

    For a weapon with an innate element, there is no way to get a single element of your choice on the end unless it's the innate element of the weapon and you use none or an even number of element mods. The innate will always combine with a single, or third elemental mod, it counts them as if reading a book, left to right, top row then bottom. I'm not sure if this next part is still how things work, but my understanding is thus

    Elemental damage bonus's from sources other than mods on the weapon add in a specific order, but always after the 8 or whatever regular slots. The order is Heat, Cold, Electricity, Toxin. They always add at the end, so if you have any elemental damage mods that don't have a mod partner, they will be added to the first innate element in the order above. If you get a buff while playing from someone, it will be added in the order above and can change if you get more than one elemental buff from any source.

    So, mods combine first, in regular western book reading order. Elemental damage from ANY source other than mods on weapon will add last, in the order of HCET. They will combine in that order and recombine when new elemental sources are added. You can pull some cool tricks off with the right frame mods on your team mates.

    If you have elec on your weapon and you want heat, then you could put mods on in this order Elec, Toxin, Heat and you'll get corrosive and heat.

    Yep, I should have worded that "and you use none or an even number of other elemental mods than the innate, though only the first instance of a given mod matters in regard to elemental combination. And of course doubling the innate element with a mod on the end will supersede the HCET order of non weapon mod elements.

    The only way around a system like that, with one order of combination or another, is to have some sort of toggle between each mod slot where you could assign potential elements you don't have yet, or innates. They'd have to stick them someplace, in one order or another. Either before your mods or after. do you want to be forced to use combos with an innate element unless you put in extra mods, or do you want to have to put in extra mods to use the innate in a combo? They chose the one I'd prefer, but maybe a way more complex modding option would open it up to what you want.

    to make it more flexible they'd need to add a subsystem to manually assign element combinations I think, which would be awkward, but then this game doesn't shy away from awkward subsystems does it

    I've been having a lot of fun with the burston prim incarnon, it's been my weapon of choice for doing most of the whisper content, especially the 60 eye, though the ease of putting the torrid into incarnon mode makes it an appealing option.

    I'm relatively impressed with Chevreuse and have already gotten some good use out of her in the abyss, at C1. She's a tough one to evaluate, because she's really good, but Overload itself is not very powerful. Pyro characters generally prefer to be in teams with Hydro characters, and Electro ones would prefer to be around Dendro. So you gotta question if it's worth it to avoid using those better reactions in order to use her.

    If you already happen to be using a pyro+electro team, then she is certain to do a great job.

    I got my first couple incarnon weapons from the Zariman guy, the Innodem and the Laetum. The whole mechanic of leveling them and evolving them and getting choices when you evolve them is kinda cool! I'm not super sold on the Innodem because it's just a dagger but it's still kinda neat, while the Laetum is pretty baller. Goes from stronk lil headshot pistol to a WH40k bolter? Yesplzkthx

    Yeah I haven't really found any of the melee incarnons I've tried very impressive aside from the base stat boosts from the circuit old weapon ones, though I hear the ceramic dagger one is great. Just not as interesting transformed modes as the gun incarnons.

    Got through most of MarcoMeatball's WF videos last night, definitely worth it - thanks for the referral.

    And it came up again in the comments, as it always does, how the community is still protecting the spoiler/reveal at the end of Second Dream (arguably better than DE is, at this point), for that golden moment when someone gets through a hundred or so hours of "tutorial" and finds themself face to face with a character creation screen.

    An ebay job lot of cameras included a couple of compacts that worked, put a roll of film through one to test it (Pentax Espio 110) with the intention of putting it back up for sale but actually I'm really surprised with the images I'm getting out of it

    Most of the melee incarnons I use are strictly as stat sticks.

    I'm not looking forward to whenever DE kills that, because tbh it's the only way some damaging abilities can keep up in Steel Path. Like, it would be nice if everything with a pseudomelee now just got an extra weapon to mod on their stat screen, and they all got some basic improvements to actually have crit and status and such, but I doubt it.

    I think whatever solution they decide will be fair to the players. Though probably without incarnon or arcanes. They'll probably just change them to real exalted weapons. I'm hoping that they make it more clear that the exalted melee on Titania changes her butterflies too, or give them their own modding.

    The worst thing about modding anything like that is being able to use mods that don't work. Like I just found out that your rail jack crew don't get benefits from rivens on their weapons. I've been using rivens on them since the beginning lol

    I’m not one to typically question the utility of mobile suit weapons but I feel there are certain practical concerns with mounting forward facing beam blade emitters onto the wings of your flight pack, but what do I know.

    EDIT NOTE: wait a goddamn second I just realized that’s an X Wing, they stuck X Wing attack foils as a strike pack for the Justice and gave it additional beam blades on the wings.

    And Destiny Spec II gets a clear edition for PBandai

    Huh, I just now got the "Explore all of the Eidolon Caves" achievement. I guess there was a single cave I somehow never bothered entering until just now? Only took 7 years to get around to it lol
