    Breakfast was
Red pepper hummus from the red lid brand
    Tortilla chips
The black bean stuff from J. Weiss's chipotle burrito video, but with turkey pastrami instead of bacon and minus the chicken stock because I was stupid

Finally beat ds3 as a caster. Magic as a whole is the worst it has ever been in 3 but still fun . One thing that was very shocking from someone who has always played quality is how being a mage completely shifts the difficulty of boss fights hard fights become easy and easy fights become soul crushing hard. I was a pure int dark sorc so having to love tap midir with great heavy soul arrow because my main spells did nothing took forever. Midir took 4 hours of attempts of me arguing with the tv that I pressed roll and I shouldn’t have been hit.

I have developed a generalized stew system that I'm not sure is the most efficient:

    Materials:
    - 1 ceramic cast iron dutch oven
    - 1 stainless steel all-clad pan
    - 1 Stove
    - 1 Oven

    Ingredients:
    - ~6 pieces of meat
    - Onion, diced
    - Some marinade or deglazing mixture with minced garlic and other stuff that might be good, like soy and mirin or broth or whatever
    - root vegetables chopped into 1 to 1.5 inch cubes

    Method:
    - Mise en place: dice the onion, prepare the marinade whatever, salt the meat (if the liquid's not already salty), chop the root vegetables, preheat the oven to 225 degrees, preheat stainless steel pan
    - Put the chopped root vegetables into a layer in the dutch oven
    - Sear the meat and anything else that needs browning in the pan
    - Dump the meat in a layer on top of the root vegetables in the dutch oven
    - Deglaze and clean the pan with the diced onion and then the liquid mixture when the onion is cooked a little
    - Dump that on top of the meat
    - Add water / stock / soy sauce if there's not enough for the meat to be touching the water in the pot
    - Cover and put in the oven and forget about it for 2 hours

It's just a slow cooker recipe I guess. The only innovation is that you get some malliard stuff and it all goes into the recipe, you don't need a bunch of extra plates to set aside ingredients, the root vegetables get fully saturated with the resulting savory stock because they're on the bottom, and the water from the root vegetables, meat, and onion raise the liquid level to actually cover most of the meat and braise it properly.
The problem is you can't taste anything until it's done, so the salt concentration is just guesswork, as is the cooking time. I'm sure there's better ways to do this

Having just completed my project of finally playing these games and doing demons souls>ds 1>2>3> Elden Ring that is weird to me. I played magic in all the games since I like being ranged and found ds2 to be by far the worst game for magic. I went for int spells and they are painfully atrocious, I ended up killing all the hard bosses in melee with magic scaling weapons instead.

Midir was the only boss in ds3 that really hated magic, I ended up using pestilent mist which just melted him. Otherwise casting was comfy on most bosses. I had a raw broadsword I occasionally busted out when stuff resisted magic or hated ranged. Oceiros was an unstoppable monster at range, but getting in melee and punching was a cakewalk.

My overall magic power rankings are ds1>>>>elden Ring>ds3>demons souls>>>>>>ds2. In ds1 nothing could even touch me in the second half of the game. And in ds2 magic was slow to cast and did no damage.

I have heard that hexes are really good in ds2, so my opinion is probably colored by sticking to the int sorceries.

Hexes could oneshot other players when DS2 released. I remember having some fun with White Ring shenanigans down in the rat puzzle trap area waiting to see who believed I was a white phantom there to help and who was actually intelligent enough to not turn their back to me.

As usual, they did their drip marketing for the characters in the next patch before they get leaked from the upcoming beta. Featuring the "what took you so long" duo of Clorinde and Sigewinne, and newcomer Sethos. Putting twitter links in spoilers because I dunno how the forum handles them these days.

I was planning on pulling for Arlecchino... but it seems like she plays similar to Hu Tao (which I already have). I think I'm now going to save my primos for Clorinde.

I wouldn't say she plays similarly, but I do expect her to be good in the same environments. Maybe less awkward for overworld use, but otherwise I do kinda see them being redundant. As someone with a C1 Hu Tao with Staff of Homa, I shouldn't roll for Arlecchino, but I am anyway.

On first run? probably.... ? Hexes, Magic, Miracles are all crazy strong in DS2. Scaled properly they could be the strongest in terms of dmg of the set. Hexes for sure. You have to grind for the strong stuff in Miracles and Sorc in DS2 is the thing. And DS2 does a good job of spacing out the big scaling items so can miss some.

For the Sungwon segment (which my autocorrect kept trying to change to dungeon, which I get he's a voice on delicious in dungeon, but come on), he ended it with "Don't call it a comeback..." which usually ends with "...I've been here the whole time."

I don't think this particular Game Changer is over. Maybe a sequel episode next season? They also didn't reference all the movie trivia "Grant" kept dropping, and no one cleaned off a fork for him.

It is still great just not op. There is a guy I watch who does builds where he goes and grabs all the pieces, maxes out scaling etc before doing the rest of the game. This is a very specialized way to run the game of course and not what people would typically do I guess. But it allows comparisons on how much dmg he does to last giant. With maxed out bell, sunlight spear etc I think he 3 shot it. This is on par with near top end other builds. And since it was Last Giant it was before he infused but he got everything else I think. It will also stagger/micro stun the bosses regularly so it can make things really easy. Half the game is still weak to it even if they nerfed the dmg.

Probably not as brain dead as Dark Orb/Hexing but still really strong.

    The ultimate crossover.

Please let me see Brennan on Taskmaster.

    Edit:
Greg: I'm really quite impressed, you've really seemed quite at ease with the bizarre little games this bizarre little man is making you do. You get told to put an ostrict egg through a loo roll tube without breaking it and you just go "Yep, can do!". And then you do go and do it, easy as that.

Brennan: Let me be clear - my day job is to run DnD games with six of my best friends who all use every opportunity to push my buttons and try to go off the rails to commit to silly bits as often as they can. And my side gig is a seventh best friend inventing new games specifically to mentally and emotionally torture me. Some of them designed specifically so I can't even win them.

So you wanna give me an Ostrich egg and tell me to get it through a cardboard tube? That's a day off for me. That's an identifiable goal with a concrete outcome, done. Easy.

Alex: Greg, do you want to zoom closer on the egg?

    Brennan: God dammit.

I am going to just call them DM whenever I see them until it catches on and others start doing it.

the usual gunpla stand bandai makes is called an action base
they have universal grabby bits for MOST models but some models you have to use an adapter that is usually included in the model kit on the sprue, hope you didn't pull a me and throw out the tallgeese sprue after finishing it without noticing the action base adapter was still on it
