There's a fanart of K-On that I saw somewhere... everyone was praising how cute Ui looked doing the dishes in a pretty little pink apron for a few pages until someone pointed out a rather important detail in the background.

It occurs to me the reason I enjoy Nanoha so much is because it's a magical girl show with the design philosophy of a mecha show.

And that's something I can get behind.

Oh man... I'll try and find the pic in question, but the thread was already huge when I saw it about a month ago.

Saki 15 (New OP and ED!):
...interesting camera angles. Not sure if I like this song or not.

oh god the sponsor eyecatch is Momo glomping Yumi and rubbing herself on her XD

Aww...Momo fell into Nodoka's perfect computer vision trap...and yet she gathers her resolve and continues to play on! Ganbare Momo!

    Touka's getting more and more annoyed at the state of things... ^^;

...and the round just ended on a Tsumo from the one that no one cares about. Oh dear. XD

Saki tags in with more sparkles.

And Yumi's straight-forwardness steals Momo's heart again. Aww, and there's our glomping scene. ("Not here?" So save it for later, then...? >.>)

Bahahaha, Koromo's aura slammed the door open from that far away? Really?

Tacos harassing the filler girls. -_-

Noooo Saki, don't get lured in by the cute! Must...resist... (is that for me or her?)

Yes everyone, keep ignoring Saki's potential. Play right into Chessmaster Hisa's hands!

    White liles...purity, huh? That fits.

Oh good LORD, two rinshen kaiho in a row?

<3<3<3<3 Yumi getting in on the mahou shoujo action with predicative play off Saki's habits.
EDIT2: What the hell? Looking back, is she projectile spamming twin-bladed swords?

And they're all ignoring Koromo for now, which isn't good...

New ED as well? Beach themed chibis? What the hell? And Tacos ruining everybody's day, as usual. And lol @ Saki's ridiculous luck continuing even to that watermelon breaking game.

Wait, we only get real swimsuit pictures of Kiyosumi and not the other schools? Lame.

Post credits: Yumi monologue <3 Yep, worrying about Saki while Koromo lies in wait.

EDIT: Three years? Good lord. Yeah, there's certainly been some decent shows in that time period.

Any particular genre you're looking for?

Baccano was pretty recent and is excellent. It involves multiple events taking place at different times in 1930s America involving thieves, gangsters, and immortals.

Funimation streams the first two episodes on their site, too.

Oh come on, it's the only way I can show my cruel side to all who can hear! You can't deny me that, right? :?

On a more serious note, what I said only apply to at least one third of StrikerS. Apart from the whole NAKED KIDDIES element, I kind of liked what I saw of the first Nanoha season, and absolutely loved A's. Maybe I put the bar way too high, but I was absolutely stoked for StrikerS - I mean, more Nanoha, but without the dubious elements of paedophilia sprinkled here and there to appease fat otakus? YES PLEASE!

Then it came out. I mostly have that part blocked out of my mind, but the point where there's an actual battle happening yet the creators thought it would have been so much more interesting for the viewer to show us a movie about Nanoha's past was when I just had to call it quits. Couldn't stand it at all. If A's was hitting the ground running, then StrikerS was running face first in a brick wall. Couldn't even get me to continue after numerous reports about how shit got real later on.

So, yeah. Maybe I'll follow the sequel mangas once I get time and hope there's not too much I missed.

From all accounts Baccano only takes one or two to get good.

I'm assuming you aren't interested in shows that aren't available on DVD? You should really finish Gurren Lagann, and if you're interested there is a remake of Neon Genesis Evangelion out called EVA 1.0 You are (not) alone. The animation is amazing and it's going to be very different from the series.

You should let your girlfriend watch School Days.

Uh, yeah I can. There's certainly another way you can let that side out. Speaking of which, they're lighting your signal over at Lounge Mechanics.

Also, hey, no insulting the Thread Starter.

I dunno. StrikerS was still pretty good overall. Were the first 8 episodes pretty slow if you were just looking for action? Sure, but I enjoyed the development of Subaru and Teana (and the two lolis, I guess).

Zen: Off the cuff quick recommendation would be Nodame Cantabile, a romance comedy set in a music conservatory.

Related to School Days, what the fuck is this an alternate ending? It's kinda funny given his expression. NSFW for violence.
"The Bloody Conclusion" (「鮮血の結末」, Senketsu no Ketsumatsu?)

One day, Kotonoha overhears Makoto and Sekai loudly engaging in sexual intercourse, which in turn emotionally destroys her. She spends several hours on her own, emotionally dead, until she suddenly snaps in the snow and laughs maniacally.

The next day, as Makoto and Sekai leave the train station, they meet Kotonoha on an overpass beside the station. There is an awkward moment as Sekai lets go of Makoto's arm, greeting her. Kotonoha says a few words before revealing a saw hidden behind her school bag and swiping it beside Sekai's neck. After a few seconds, Sekai suddenly bleeds violently and collapses in a pool of blood in front of Kotonoha and Makoto. Kotonoha starts laughing hysterically again, her lifeless eyes revealing that she has completely broken down.

In the PS2 extension of the ending, after Kotonoha kills Sekai, she states that it was her revenge. She apologizes to Makoto and begins to ask if he would like to do the same and kill her, but instead, he screams and knocks the blade out of her hand and over the side of the overpass. Kotonoha is surprised as she glances at her cut palm, but Nanami's and Hikari's screams bring Makoto back to reality. As he looks at Sekai, Kotonoha tries to wrap her scarf around his neck, but he panics. He grabs her hand as she tries to tighten the scarf, and realizing what she has done, Kotonoha breaks down and cries.

    Don't forget about me!

    School Days 8
    Setsuna:"Break up with Katsura."
    Makoto:"Okay."
Katsura:"I'm sorry I didn't let you feel me up before, but if you dance with me at the festival I'll let you grope my gigantic titties."
    Makoto:"Okay."

The class rivalry during the school festival seems out of place considering the tone of the rest of the show so far.
