Record of the Lodoss War? Amazing, fantastic, phenomenal. Everything I want and more.
Paranoia Agent? Not quite my speed but I can respect it. Satoshi Kon's stuff is really hit or miss for me, and this one just hasn't pushed a whole lot of buttons for me.
KonoSuba? Fucking hate it. I actively step away from my computer and go clean my kitchen for 44 minutes when it's time on the schedule arrives.
I enjoy most of konosuba but I can't really recommend it because of a few bad parts and totally get why it might not be appealing at all to anyone
I feel pretty much exactly the same as you about paranoia agent
record of lodoss war is a perfect show
as fun as it is to dunk on AI-generated images, it kind of sucks to look at something an actual human worked on and go "that's AI generated" when it clearly isn't - not only does it demean the work of the artist and help justify harassment against them, but it kind of fucks up people's ability to recognize AI-generated images when they see them by teaching them the wrong warning signs?
in this case it looks like the original stock photo arm was probably in the wrong pose or behind an object or whatever, so the artist just cut out and pasted an arm from a different image and called it a day - because, let's be honest, people don't give much of a fuck about romance novel covers. The dude's also got one singular crack texture repeatedly pasted onto his pec, biceps, shoulder, and forehead, for instance.
(Alternatively, well, that might just be how she looked in that photo.)
It's very important to learn what you dislike, so it can inform our future scheduling.
Not to avoid things you don't like, of course, that wouldn't be any fun.
Are we sure elves aren't related to reptiles in this world? Frieren seems to need some major sunlight to get moving
Don't pick on the elderly. :P

BIG MANGA SPOILERS
Clearly a small child with how much Fern needs to do to get her ready in the mornings
I guess there are other areas of my home I could clean on a weekly basis.
I enjoy teasing you about leaving to clean when konosuba starts but also I totally can't blame you and I'm happy you go do something else instead of hate-watching it
it doesn't
watch Frieren instead
Ha. I had a feeling. So much of the plot revolved around him being pervy, it didn't make sense that it would get better. Thanks; won't be continuing that one, or taking recommendations from that friend without a hefty grain of salt in the future.
Omg, I just Googled it because reasons, and what. What.
I have something like 20% success rate.
He liked JJK, he disliked MP100, Vinland Saga, Frieren, Spy x Family.
I think my friend is actively trolling me. I am stopping recommending anything to him, ever.
they're age appropriate if you make them both a few years older, but it's a bit skeevy for me when one is still a minor and the other is not, even if they're only a few years apart
starts out 16, is 17 later. megumin is 13 then 14. I probs should've said 'about to be'
Konosuba is weird, because the characters were explicitly written older when it was originally (self) published as a web novel, with Kazuma being 20(and a college dropout), Darkness being 24, and Megumin being 17 at the start of the series(with the characters aging 2-3 years throughout the series).
But when it was picked up for publication and serialized, (As I understand it) the publisher wanted Kazuma to be a high schooler for purely marketing reasons. So the author simply subtracted 4 from everyone's ages and replaced Kazuma's "College Dropout" references with "High Schooler", and changed absolutely nothing else story-wise.
You can see this most clearly with Darkness, since her being 24 and thus invoking the "Christmas Cake" concept, is a big part of her story arc. With her at 20, it's not immediately obvious that the writer is specifically calling "Christmas Cake" bullshit for just that -- bullshit.
It's the de-aging of the characters that causes a lot of the sketchy problems with Konosuba.
I think you need a new friend. Anyone who doesn't love Anya and Bond is not a friend.
Is it sad? It sounds sad. I don't like sad. After Your Lie in April and Rascal Doesn't Dream of Bunny Girl Sempai, I've decided they're forms of masochism.
The first episode is a little sad but it's more hopeful than anything.
what a strange game
E: sounds like the light novel was much better and bad manga editors ruined it huh
Yeah after the first episode I let it sit for a couple of weeks because I wasn't in the mood for a downer show that was all about missed opportunities, but it turns out it isn't like that at all. It's maybe a little bit melancholy at times, but so far it seems to be more about making new friends and appreciating things about your old friendships you didn't realize at the time.
I have good news for you
