That sounds pretty incestuous to me, at a glance, which is a hard pass.

I think the family branching off hundreds of years ago is pretty distantly related. And even then, I don't think they say the royal who went to Earth was Aura's direct ancestor, just part of the royal family back then, so that branch could have occurred even further back than that.

They make a point that a lot of the royal families are huge with tons of branches ordinarily.

Ooh if the novels have more of his daily life in the palace I may have to read them, the manga always has intro pages of him hanging out or the maids marvelling at air conditioning that seem fun.
I also hope Zenjiro being completely oblivious to Inez being a ninja remains true in the novels.

There is definitely more of that, largely due to the bonus chapters from the maids point of view.

    As for your spoiler:
There are currently three “ninja” maids, and there hasn’t been any indication that he’s aware any of them are anything other than regular maids.

For a much later spoiler along the same lines that I had been waiting a long time for…
Princess Freya being introduced to the appliances is great. They have trouble pulling her away from the refrigerator because she keeps trying to stick her face in it.

Huge manga bundle from Kodansha. Highlights include Witch Hat Atelier, Shangri-La Frontier, Vinland Saga and The Drops of God

Seems like excellent value for money, especially as Kodansha's app is some gathcha bullshit that's not accessible outside the US

Criterion's slowly begun dipping its toes into the animation well, but this is the first time I've seen an anime feature hit their service:

    ycv3irhfb2ix.jpg
Mitsuha and Taki are complete strangers living separate lives until they suddenly switch places. Mitsuha wakes up in Taki’s body, and he in hers. This occurrence happens randomly, and they must adjust their lives around each other. Yet, somehow, it works. They build a connection by leaving notes for one another until they wish to finally meet. But something stronger than distance may keep them apart.

    Presented by Crunchyroll

Wonder if we'll see actual anime films hit the Criterion label. Far as I know, they have only a handful of animated films, namely Watership Down.

    Additional bit:
[puts Bravern talking about how all things are connected and eventually come together+Lulu repeatedly and fervently shouting “Smith!!” at Bravern+once again Bravern showing a peculiar level of Earth Cultural knowledge for an ostensible Space Hero Robot in my pocket for later]

Also man, they really know how to build the tone and emotion for this. You could really feel the sense of camaraderie in the bar, the German commander’s continued trepidation in trusting Bravern, and then the absolute horror as the drone footage of the sea of flames Tokyo has been engulfed in reached the base.

A lot of set up this episode, all of it so so well done.

    Yeah this is in it!

One of the Media Club+ shorthands in describing the show is how characters (usually Kurapika) will stop the episode to give a quick power point presentation about something they're talking about, and this arc has turned that up 1000 percent, and I really couldn't be more delighted every time it happens. Before or after every ass beating, there is a power point presentation about why the ass beating is happening, how it is happening, and who the ass beating will be dealt out to (generally this is the in-episode audience for the presentation). Basically every character does it except for Gon, because he is too beautiful and simple to handle a power point deck.

You would think it would get old, but it really does not. Every time kurapika is like hi my name is kurapika, welcome to my Ted Talk about beating your ass, I am clapping like a seal. yes kurapika, yes, walk me through it, teach me the intricacies of nen.

two episodes ago, Gon was deemed a genius because he realized that since he can flip up a 5 ton stone section of floor in a fight, he can probably break through some dry wall no problem and uses this intelligence to escape.
