Now we're onto season 2, three episodes in, and
Second one starts off the same as the first but with such obviously different animation they worked out something was going on; we've had the 'we are in a time loop' part, and will get onto the next episode another day; so far there's still stuff happening, but I'm not sure how many of the upcoming repeats they'll be willing to tolerate before we have to skip to the end. (to be fair, _I_ haven't watched all of all of them myself)
Entertaining quote from kid #1: "It's impressive how the writers always come up with something new for them to be doing". hmmmmm. I wonder how long he'll keep thinking that..

Well it makes perfect sense for the porn series to sell a lot of blu-rays since people watching it would want the uncensored versions.
I also crack up a bit when they show the "based on real life events but not actually" Law & Order disclaimer at the beginning.

Well, let's not forget why Gero's in this whole (waves hands around entire manga):
Uh, from what I saw, it already looks pretty uncensored.
Also, is it just me, or is the show basically Rolling Bomber Special but with magical girls instead of Super Sentai?
Character inadvertently becomes villain but doesn't want to be, heroes don't believe them, inadvertently pushing them further into villainy.
On a related note, I do kind of hope the author doesn't introduce any more marriage candidates and gives some of the existing ones more arcs. I'm including the Water User on that list.
I feel like there's an easy answer:
There wouldn't be any drama then though, so of course that won't be brought up.
It starts out like this. Then it becomes Nanoha. And then it becomes Akibaranger.
And, yeah, I don't see the ending being "okay, now it's time to settle down and have kids the way my family wants me to". I dunno, maybe it'll be "all the other women show up to help defeat the Poison Clan so Gero and Kinosaki can get together", it definitely doesn't seem like there's going to be weird harem-y rivalries going on.
Yeah, except gay and BDSM-y
I'd also imagine if there's incontrovertible evidence that three train crew members is safer, federal regulations could be amended in the future.
I refuse to open my luxury hotel until I've found the perfect bartender, so I've invited you three to audition. Now, serve me a drink.
Okay, here's a martini.
You peasant! You didn't even ask me about my day first! How do you know this won't upset my stomach! You're just going to give me a drink after I ordered one!? Next!
Okay, here's a grasshopper.
Fine, but I want it in the most obscure, rare way possible.
Uh... give me a minute.
You incompetent! That took 90 seconds! How can you call yourself a bartender if you haven't memorized every single drink imaginable and can't serve them all in seconds!
And I'm the pretty, sparkling, lady's man.
Never!
But also, like, content warning because it loved to show a closeup of dudes carving ice over and over, and I hope it would go without saying, but the correct way to carve ice is not to hold a chunk of ice in in the palm of your hand, overhand grip the pick in the other one, and hard jab it repeatedly straight in the middle. I mean, unless you want to put a shiv straight through your hand.
E:
Also, Metallic Rouge's ending was comically terrible.
But you didn't expect me to have secret powers too. I can make a laser sword and shield!
Oh no, I am undone.
Okay, now I'm giving all robots free will, even if it has terrible consequences.
Aha, but you forgot about me, the other antagonist. That doesn't give them free will, but enslaves them to us, the alien race. You've fallen right into our trap.
Nuh uh. I found out about your plan ahead of time and created an anti-virus that just gives them free will instead, and no consequences, because *waves hands*
Well, fuck, let's go kung-fu fight in a field.
*transforms, roll credits*
Don't worry, soon enough the series drops the implied rape and just makes it overt
Just last month I re-read the entire Bartender manga. I'm obsessed. I love that there'll be one other person in here watching the anime with me.
I learned about a ton of cocktails and booze history from the comic (although sometimes it appears to make shit up haha), so I might follow along and make the drinks the show is making every week.
apparently it might have gotten cut from 2 cours down to one, so instead of slow rolling mystery show we got... *gestures broadly*.
Which is a shame.

Frieren: One of my favorite animes ever, at this point. And while I am reading the manga as it releases, I don't feel this requires another season, it's great the way it is. I would of course love to see another season, I'm just pleased this doesn't feel like 1/10th of a satisfying story.
Delicious in Dungeon: This is shaping up to be great. Great, lively animation that hasn't lost all the humor that makes the early part of this story sing. A really strong dub with an appealing cast. And a great soundtrack that is very fitting to the story. This one DOES need to continue, hopefully there's no issues animating the entire thing.
Solo Leveling: It was... not awful, but nowhere near great, either. A lot of this is the fault of the original story, which leaned even more than I realized on the art. However, the middle of this didn't do itself any favors by following a filler recap with an extremely slow episode that was essentially a recap in itself. The way the story was portioned out between episodes, you had to watch the first 3 to even understand the basic idea of the show, which was pretty bad. I'll keep watching (and reading) it, because it's a very "salty bag of potato chips" style story. No nutrition, but nice in the right mood.
A Sign of Affection: Exactly as hoped for, a cute and wholesome shojo anime. No insane dramas or runaway busses that hit the heroine on the day of the big date, just people catching feelings and dealing with that normally. Good art, fitting music, and most importantly, it handled the necessary sign language in a way that made sense and contributed to the story and themes. Like Frieren, there's more they could do, but they also don't need to, it had a good ending.
Still in process, not from this season:
Komi Can't Communicate S2: Better than S1. Partially because Komi is MUCH better as a manga after the first 3-4 volumes and partially because the shitty Netflix adaptation issues present in the first season seem totally gone here. Interestingly, they've started intentionally using the "they" pronoun for Najimi, I'm not sure if the manga does this or not? I think it's an appropriate choice for the character, and much more kind than all of the "Isn't Najimi just a WEIRDO that we need to DO something about??" humor from S1.
I'll be watching Spicy Wolf, Kaiju No. 8, Konosuba, and more DinD this season. Other stuff I would potentially look into, we'll see.

I got that impression from the pilot, glad I was correct.
It's a shame about the occasional transphobic bits around Najimi that Komi Can't Communicate does, because Najimi is easily the best character in that manga/show.
But even besides that, the core conflict was between the notion that enslaved android people being murdered in the streets should have rights, and no, that'd be a disruption to society, plus the racism and slavery is working pretty well for us, so let's just stick with that. Come on. This isn't an actual ethical dilemma.
And even then, the ending is... the ending. A summation of all the problems that had been building up brought to a head.
put a pin in that for now
Somewhere I have a text file I made where I was trying to write down all the cocktails they make, along with the description of them, so I could see if I agreed, but after a dozen chapters or so it just all got to be too much.
I re-watched the first episode of the 2006 anime to compare to the new one, and it's amazing how different they feel. They're obviously both adapting the same basic set of events, the Final Cocktail Of The Episode is basically the same (though who drinks it is different) but the direction for the 2006 one is just crazy, there's fourth-wall breaking narration-to-us, there's weird location-shifting jump cuts, flashbacks, "monologue under a spotlight" bits, it is very much more, I dunno, "obviously directed", I guess?
Also the end credits have a real-life bartender making a cocktail, with an actual recipe, and the cocktail they make over the end credits is different for each episode, skipping ahead a bit. So I'm curious to keep watching both versions and doing it week by week to see if they continue to be similar-but-very-different like this.
Diamond is Unbreakable, chapter 1 cover page vs. a full-page panel from the final chapter
The anime did a good job of being the midway point of these designs
