Who is that concept art of, a new character from something?
And the Apothecary Diaries manga just hit a fireworks factory moment

Top: Yeah, Garrod; since everything from Victory to X was back to back seasons of Gundam, each is going to have their 30ths for the next three years (counting this one); so 2025 is Wing’s, 2026 is X’s
Bottom: New G Gundam Project character, apparently. No information given, just that something is coming for the 30th, and she’s a character from it
And once again, if you're not reading this series, you really should be. It's an amazing melding of taking shonen tropes and applying them to a real world discipline, that's resulted in a really just excellently executed story. And unlike a lot of shonen manga, it's got incredibly well done characters across a very broad spectrum of character types - everyone feels quite well rounded, which it then mines to excellent effect.
Great stuff

boring, trite, pointless
Undead Unluck manga adding new random character into the fight?
This is a difference between having zero faith in the author and having full faith in the autor
But he has literally never been in this manga before.
Sure, he was in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, but thats a prequel that is not required for reading the main series.
If I remember correctly, he was mentioned ONCE.
Some build up would make it work much better.
The bonus is
I don't disagree, but he's still been more fun to watch than all the jobbers before him.
That's how I felt. It's a gorgeous spectacle, but it's largely hollow, just existing to throw a ton of characters(and countless lives) into the woodchipper. The Hidden Inventory arc was much more narratively satisfying.
I haven't seen such a "these characters are totally and utterly SCREWED" narrative since Kingsglaive.

I recall watching the Shibuya Arc unfold and really not getting the hype, despite the absurd spectacle. The largest fights seem to happen for almost no reason at all, like someone summoning an insanely powerful monster just to spite this one little punk who was going around backstabbing people?... It just feels so... disconnected from everything. The main villain barely even fights anyone, it's all smaller skirmishes escalating into ever-increasing insanity, while the previous main villain just keeps escaping and escaping some more,
It just felt unsatisfying and hollow, whereas the peak moments of, say, Chainsaw Man and Frieren all felt narratively connected and rewarding.

Shit fucking sucks, yo
I'll keep this as vague as possible, but temper your expectations for what comes next.
In order to hate something, you need to love something first, and boy, I loved JJK once
and then "gesticulates wildly at chapters from last 2 years"
I never really had a horse in the race, to be honest. I watched it because of all the hype, it was fine, and I like some of the characters, but nothing ever really grabbed me about it, I was just along for the ride.
It had real potential, is the killer. The structure of the world made a certain amount of sense. You could see the bones of good political intrigue, etc. Nobara/Megumi/itadori made a good trip, and the early arc with Mahito and jellyfish kid did a lot to really establish the stakes.
The first anime adaptation was really, really good too, elevating the source material fantastically.
And the Shibuya arc was the sort of "oh shi-" moment fans love. The immediate follow up Zenin arc likewise, though you can see certain ugly trends in the writing.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd then we got, well. Whatever the fuck the rest of this has been.

If I am not mistaken, its actually the case of Gege having good editors before, and ignoring their input later
Nobara was added to the story only because editor asked for it
Later, that one cute chapter when Itadori met his previous classmate? That slice of life comedy chapter showing good chemistry between main trio, that everyone loved?
That was also only added because editor asked for some downtime, and Gege was not interested in anything like this
Oof
So basically just “I WANNA DO THE FIGHTS”
Undead Unluck, as mentioned above, does a much better job of getting me emotionally invested in the side cast.
I don't get why he's so popular. His stupidity is half the reason Shibuya went sideways.
Like, yes, Yuji killed your brothers. BECAUSE THEY WERE EVIL.
Read the room, moron.
He's just like me
He's a himbo but also he steps the hell up when he realises how he's been played, and that's continued to have pay off
(Even if there's been no real addressing so what about all the civilians you murdered?).
I do wish UU art was better - it's got it's moments, but it's also got a lot of same faces, and it's panelling doesn't sing as well as it could. Which is a shame, because a lot of what it's doing storytelling wise is great & really playing too the strengths of its setup

How often does that ever get addressed? Far as I'm concerned, it sucks that Yuji feels all the guilt for Shibuya when it's really more the fault of smaller players like Choso, Dagon, the idiot trio who summoned Toji, and the rest who just kept making stupid moves that made things worse.
A better series would have addressed and explored it, in my opinion. But that would have required better pacing and better timing, rather than fight fight fight

Sure would be nice to see something like this, to deepen the character relationships.
But alas...
Mine is still the political fallout from the Incident. What happens now that the word is out? Who cares! Let's fighting!
