And then the ending was... not great.
"Everything is shit and the world sucks, so why shouldn't we give ourselves over to parasitic mind controlling mushrooms that kill us, AND murder everybody who comes into town too?"
"Oh, well, when you put it that way, you have a point, I guess. Bye."
That should be an escape while being chased by lunatic cult kind of ending. Not live and let live after a horde of serial murder mushroom cultists just tried to kill you.
It's very hard to tell if the game is any good or not, but if you just think of it as an AMV for "Sand Land - Sandstorm(Darude)" then it is fantastic. I always love it when people sync up music and the action in trailers, and this does it as well as anything I've seen. (the secondary bassline around 43 seconds in from the cannon in the game, just... yeah, that's doing this stuff properly)
I think there's like an 80% chance that
Very surprised that it wasn't drawn out much longer.
I'm wondering how much left of the series there is.
Kaiju No. 8: Animation style looks nice and clean, the Japanese VA's did a good job. I kind of want to try out the dub, I feel like it will be pretty solid...
Rebuild of Spicy Wolf - You Can[NOT] Sell that Shit Here: It still seems pretty much exactly the same, to me? I'm sure if I compared them side by side, the animation differences and etc would stand out, but I am purposely not doing that, and it's been a few years since I've rewatched the original. This remake has the same chill vibe and charming leads, so it's working in that sense for me, I'm just very curious why they went with a remake to produce something so substantially similar. Someone asked, apparently Crunchyroll did get the dub actors to return, that starts this week.
Delicious in Dungeon: Replaces Frieren as easily the most anticipated and high quality show of each week. We're into the more dramatic part of the storyline now too, so that mild criticism should be pretty much gone at this point.
Konosuba: Episode 1 was funny, but frustrating. Hopefully we're in for smoother sailing for the rest of the season. I believe the upcoming arc is more focused on Darkness, who has never been my favorite in the group, but perhaps getting an arc will force them to come up with a few new jokes for her.
Finished off to free up more time:
Netflix Cannot Communicate Marketing Ideas (Komi Can't Communicate S2): Season 2 was better in literally every way, which makes it all the more frustrating that I found out it existed a year late. Did other people have this trouble, and did that damage viewership? I would hope not, as more seasons would be appreciated, the build to the OTP couple is very cute in this.
Today on the news, as I exited work: The Japanese Yen hits a 54 year record low mark.

Much like how Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood didn't just point you towards the old anime and tell you to jump over to the new one after so-and-so many episodes.
Look Back movie trailer
Dang this looks really good
Googling around I guess the rough point of divergence is FMA2003 E25/E26 and FMA:B E10, but it doesn't line up nice since they both do similar events out of order around there (I read a suggestion that you'd theoretically watch until episode 30 of 2003 before swapping to Brotherhood episode 8).
But the best option there is really just to start with episode 1 of Brotherhood and treat it as its own thing.
I am trembling from just the trailer.
This movie is going to destroy (my negative emotions and help me purge them (with so much crying)).
My most anticipated thing. Wow.
with one very important exception
We get to see why the Imperial mages are so terrifying, with their training and abilities to screw with someone's perception.
Land clearly has history here, which is likely why Serie told Ubel not to press him.
Auto workers are organizing in the South. Six Republican governors put out statements warning them not to.
UAW response is basically "aww they're scared" which is kinda great.
Amazing how the government going"hey Twitter these accounts are lying about a pandemic " counts as "government interference " to these types but this doesn't. Can't imagine why /s
There are characters who seem to be good people among the cadets. Hisui is also a good person, though she's probably not in season 1.
(Spoilers from later manga stuff)
Suzukiri too actually, now that we know her motivation. She also has apparently opted out of continuing revenge in order to take care of her "sisters."
it's just about some girls who are really good roommates, what do you mean?
That they made a giant lightshow portrait of using drones a few weeks ago:
It's a prestige TV psychological thriller, but anime and 10 years early.
(meanwhile his first anime credit was a couple episodes of Turn A gundam)
later season wfm:
Unsurprisingly I love it. I'm used to my anime being shonen and my farcical comedies having protagonists who deserve to have their lie exposed, so this is a nice change of pace

Or maybe a better way to put it: nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends.
