I’m surprised I keep seeing Demon Slayer ranked super highly - a recent Ranker voting list I saw (not that it really stands for much) had Demon Slayer at #1. Like Mori I’m kind of eh on watching more.

Sounds like GL should be next? That or Brotherhood.

I want to watch Eizouken but I’m waiting on the season to finish. Plus right now it’s Mori’s and Anya’s special show and I think that’s cute.

Oorrr maybe I just watch all of JoJo again.

I really enjoyed Kobyashi's Dragon Maid if you want something a bit more light hearted. From what I've read, I think you'd like it if comedies are your thing at all.

turns out I do like konosuba a fair bit, I just have a couple annoying quibbles

with the direction they seem to be taking some stuff, I genuinely wish some of the cast weren't so young. this gets borderline creepy territory at times and I've heard the LN keeps pushing some of that later down the line

as much as I like the town they're based out of, I do find myself wishing they'd move onwards towards another one sometime soon. I don't really feel like the plot is moving forward at all with them still being at the same town and just having the demon king's forces come to them

That said, they keep encountering demon lord generals anyways.

They do leave the town for some arcs (and end up encountering demon lord generals, naturally).

    (Mid S2 spoilers)
I do love how incredulous the demon lord generals get towards the party. Whether it's the dullahan's freaking out at Megumim constantly just blowing up his house and leaving for no reason, or the mask's complete incomprehension when he possessed Darkness.

yeah I was just hoping for some actual, like... travelling adventuring I guess?

just feels like they're constantly treading water and while that might be the point, it doesn't really do it for me

The movie, which should be understood as S3 basically, involves a feature length field trip.

Denno Coil is kid-friendly. It was explicitly made as an all-ages show. I'd say ages 12-13 is fine to see it.

Bear in mind none of them really want to progress said plot.

In keeping with the whole "terrible D&D party" theme, this is one of those things where the GM is having to literally throw the plot at these assholes because all of them would rather just do odd jobs in the starter town.

Like the vampire campaign where the ST had us find a sarcophagus that was practically bristling with hints of plot hooks and ancient evil, and we were like "that sounds dangerous. " so we encased it concrete, wrapped some weights around it, and dropped it in a deep part of the ocean.
