I'm trying not to read to much since I haven't read the manga yet and don't want too many spoilers, but from what I'm hearing, the We Never Learn manga did something interesting today.

(More of a mechanical spoiler than concrete plot spoiler I guess? Still it's something unexpected so be warned)
It ended with one girl, but then said "Route 1/5 unlocked" implying they're going to work like a Visual Novel routes and going to do endings for all five girls.

Speaking of "Sakuga" moments, I feel like the original Bubblegum Crisis is just that from start to finish, and I wish modern shows could pull off a tenth of this budget:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kqlZn_M4qQ

The making of BGC literally bankrupted the studio, and it involved a level of insane detail and intricacy that modern studios just don't have the passion and drive for. It's something that's been lost with most everything being CG now, I think.

honestly I just feel really uncomfortable with Konosuba doing anything romance related with Megumin, given her age and that Konosuba can't help but make things get to a point that they really shouldn't with a character her age

that's basically the extent of what really bugs me about it

she's too good for him though, and him getting with darkness might actually make them better people in the long run

    ...
Hes 16, shes 14. are you suggesting that high school students don't date? its basically a freshman and a junior dating. sure, keep it within limits (still underage), but romance doesn't have to mean sex.

Also nobody in anything will ever have sex. The universe won't allow it

the closest Trigger anime to PSG is definitely Space Patrol Luluco

it's a lot less sexually crude, but it's a similar sense of humor plus animation style, and also has Teddyloid doing the soundtrack (including an absolute banger of an ending theme)

So i was doing a rewatch of some of the stuff getting a new season soon. I didnt remember much about the Romantic Comedy show thats getting a 3rd season (Oresur? i think its called) so went through it again.

While its got some fun things going for it in the sarcasm and comedy, I can't help but find the Romantic bits fall really flat. Yuto being broken in some ways explains why her attraction to the MC is very slow, but Yugi's is completely off the rails. Sure, they give a big hint early on with the chocolate stuff, but then we get almost the entire next two seasons of her going out of her way to be embarassed to be seen in public with the MC. that goes beyond standard shyness and reluctance to get closer to him. The side characters have fairly confusing personalities and maybe its just my Pessimisism showing through a bit but the things the MC does that irritate people the most are things that really are completely deserved by the receiving people. (Like the head of the cultural festival arc, or the idiots from the other school from the christmas arc)....he ripped on them because they deserved to be ripped on by someone, he was just willing to take the hit to his reputation to actually say something about it instead of pushing the lie that it wasn't there fault.

Honestly my favorite character in this show is not the MC, nor his two love interests (I'm not counting the annoying president)....its the MC's little sister. Shes the most adorable little sister ive ever seen in anime and super funny everytime shes on the screen.

alright this Haikyu show is real charming

IT IS SO MUCH FUN! THESE LADS ARE GOOD, BY GOSH!

so far my favorite thing is when Hinata got hit in the face by his own crappy receive and then, long enough after it happened for it to be super embarrassing, made a sound that can only be transcribed as BLAH

it was downright dracula-esque, I had to watch it like five times

anyway this is a good show about good lads

The timing of the comedy in this show are just an absolute joy. You have so much good stuff ahead of you, I'm so excited!

    tanaka is my favorite

his VA made some extremely good choices about how to play him

Yamaguchi is the best. You get him being a dork with Tsuki plus he has his whole amazing arc of knowing he's not really anything special but putting the work in so he can bring something to the table. That and he's the cute, shy, freckled boy.

We are going to get a speech about fanservice from Ishigami, which will take entire chapter, so none of it will be actually shown.

Did not think Eizoken would be touching on Japan's economic stagnation blues, but show continues to exceed all expectations.

Trying to watch Funimation on the PS4 app, and after the commercial I get a black screen and an error message "Sorry, that video isn't available right now." no matter what show/episode I select.

It was yesterday! I can also watch said videos on a web browser, so IDK what's going on. Anyone experiencing similar issues?

One episode of Bofuri did this. I watched it on my computer instead, then continued on the console. It is literally an app problem with random episodes of shows.

One thing I discversed about the Funi PS4 app is that it HATES suspend mode.

You’re gonna want to close the app fully when you’re done if you don’t want it to act up later.

It's amazing how refreshingly real Reina and Kumiko's relationship feels. No pandering, just distinct chemistry, right down to how differently they address each other when alone.

Yeah there's a little detail in the first episode of the second season where when they're with their other friends and they're all sitting close-but-not-touching to each other. And then later there's scenes of them alone together and now Reina and Kumiko are sitting closer, with no room between them. Like their body language gets noticeably more intimate as soon as they're not around people they know. (but then after 201 Yamada went off to do one of her movies and the gayness mostly all disappears).
