It's the only one of these moé slice of life shows to ever get my attention but dammit, it's earned it
They even finally made the Akira reference I thought they would!
did it actually skip all the harem stuff though
This will be here until I receive an apology or Weedlordvegeta get any consequences for being a bully
OVA 3 is quite possibly the most disappointing thing I have ever watched.
That or Bubblegum Crisis 2040.
How thoroughly they messed up the Tokimi arc was a sight to behold.
I Love Cinema, I am Lonely
It's vaguely yuri-ish but really it's mostly about two roommates arguing about pop culture and the joy of nerding out over shit
In the most recent chapter their otaku friend convinced them to watch Eva and they got very invested
In slime related LN rankings, I'd say it's worse than Max Level.
I've been reading and rereading a lot of LN lately. Nee-chan wa chuunibyou is still pretty great. It's not the most eloquently written story but the concept of it is kind of dumb and enjoyable.
Basically dudes sister is a hardcore chuuni. Unlike most other chuuni related things she then decides that she needs to train her younger brother into a superhuman using manga, anime and novel training regimens. That's basically just the back story, though there are some 'training arcs' of sorts. It's mostly about the dude starting high school and the stuff that happens. I'd say it's mostly very light on the harem stuff. It exists but only as kind of a reason for the guy to get involved in weird things and he's really having none of it anyway.
Besides that... The Really Light Novel Title: I saved too many girls and caused the apocalypse.
The series is, obviously, about harem garbage. The actual hook is the dudes family is... Blessed? Cursed? With basically being a last ditch hero. The multiverse goes along it's merry way, but if the Fated Hero ends up dead or something this guy (and his dad before him, etc) will somehow get dragged into it. Be it straight isekai or alien abduction or whatever the will of the universe needs to do to get him there. He's not actually some super hero and he has the choice to ditch out too. It's pretty alright, but I'm only 4 volumes in or so.
There are multiple unrelated series out there though.
eva had good ending credits too
The original series would probably really benefit from a Kai rework just to streamline the plot while leaving more meat on the bone than the movies do.
i'll see you and raise you
I appreciate that the end shows him actually doing it. With a nice big 'don't actually do this' warning.
maybe if I try the dub, if it's any good? I didn't watch the first season dubbed though
augh god damn it just hearing this augh damn it.
also trigun had super amazing next episode previews
yes i'm nerd
Woke: Playing the 'next episode on' music during the big climactic moment
Haikyuu and its very good lads have only gotten better as the series goes on, imo
It must have been something major because I straight up couldn't understand what the hell was going on. Apparently Tenchi is some kind of god, who was the product of 3 other ultra-time-space-goddesses which Tsunami apparently has some psychotic mother who wants to destroy the universe but godhood tenchi somehow calmed down and made love to or something??? These latter two ovas really seem to be aimed at the folks who kept up with the Manga because I couldn't figure out a damn thing.
Wud yoo laek to lern aboot meatz? Look here!
Did they kill off the giant hamster or did he somehow turn into an edgelord covered in scars and leather?
I actually started watching Overlord so as to have more context when I watch Isekai Quartet since currently I only know of Konosuba from that show.
