we're just gonna have to duel to the death
also only serious complaint about beastars is it could use more haru. because haru is basically always great.
*person trying to cheer her up*
Haru: "Yeah maybe I'll try taking up your optimistic view when I'm not on my period."
e: there we go

Fuck Joe Manchin
Stupid character polls and bad editors resolved? I super doubt it. Those are lifer issues for Jump.
Like Kubo seems like a guy who should just be an artist for other people's works so he doesn't have to deal with as much of the industry he dislikes.
Just, nothing works, at all.
You had promise but damn did you just throw lore at us at a nonstop pace
It really needed to end with Aizen getting beaten, imo, and go into epilogue after that. It definitely suffered from a push to keep having more stuff going on.

This series is so stupid but I unironically love it (the main show is on netflix and i recommend it)
Aizen beaten, Ichigo depowered, world is saved and returns to normal, cut and wrap right there.
also we get to see kenpachi release his zampaktou
then it gets to end
only stronger
it was very dumb
It's really not that cool, sadly.

Fuck Joe Manchin
the build up/fight with the first kenpachi was very good tho
Also, fights went completely bonkers, in a "oh, you have God's powers? Good thinkg I bring out my God Slaying Special Sword today!" kind of way to explain how those people could even be defeated.
Yu Yu is only 19 volumes! (Which is still a bit but also not that much!)
Monster is 18 volumes.
Death Note is 12!
Cross Game is 8!
I am packing to move currently, which is why I am aware of these numbers.
Surpisingly I was able to sell 23 volumes of Initial D pretty quick, I thought that would be the hard one to get rid of but I had about fifteen people respond to the ad.
the ninja war had the exact same problem, in that it created a villain that was literally stronger than everybody combined and effectively took a deus ex machina to defeat
and then it introduced moon lady who was super secret even stronger than said previous god-like being
basically the only good things ninja war produced were night guy and obito/keikashi fight and sasuke finally deciding to not be a worthless fuckboy after 4700 episodes
I mean, I thought it was pretty hilarious when Kenpachi unleashed ultimate power by...holding his sword with both hands.
ninja fights are cool, and a lot of the character work is good
that was in hueco mundo, and that fight ruled
The new strongest guy was the inventor of the entire system who'd been hinted at throughout the series. Part 1 of Naruto ends with Naruto and Sasuke battling on top of a statue commemorating
a famous fight that guy had. Then the end of Part 2 is actually fighting that guy. That's a GREAT final villain choice. The moon monster villain is basically your JRPG trope where the heroes have to kill God or the source of all magic or entropy or whatever. Unnecessary, but a threat big enough to justify redeeming whatever villains you'd like to redeem before curtain call.
Bleach's final arc starts out with a good idea. "Remember that whole faction the good guys EXTERMINATED in the backstory? Some survived and they're justifiably pissed!" Yeah, that's a good idea. But then instead of the fight being about the morality of the factions and in some way resolving or changing the world system (something that Naruto is all about) it's instead about "these guys have literally unbeatable high numbers AND they get to steal all your numbers. So every character has to learn a new special move to beat the new numbers. ... yup, that's all this is going to be."
Also the fact he's so reluctant to actually do it
