My Hero Academia has the most fantastic earworm as an insert song this week. Give it a listen even if you don't normally watch.

This one is pretty good in that the main couple gets together in like the 2nd episode(instead of the series spending the whole time being will they or won't they). It also goes through all the trials and tribulations of their relationship but its always done in a light-hearted and fun way.

It also kind of messes with the formula by instead of making the protagionist your typical Bishounen type, he's huge and build like a footballer(but he's also generally awesome and all around nice) and instead the typical bishounen is his best friend who supports him along the way.

Yeah I like the original because I think it tried to fit a bit more social commentary into the mix.

But I find Brotherhood more rewatchable and I like that certain characters had more of a role in the plot.

Maybe the original tried to fit too much social commentary into it.

    Fucking Shou Tucker.

his wife is gone (dead?) so I can assure no that literally no-one in Amestria is doing that

You could say she earned her wings

Because he made her a bird chimera everyone

But he didn’t? She got made into a weird canine thing, iirc.

At the end of each volume of Fullmetal Alchemist, Arakawa drew a little panel showing every character who died during that volume’s events flying up to Heaven.

Shou Tucker, uniquely, was shown dropping straight into Hell.

I've been reading the manga, and it's also good in that they are both extremely in love (none of that forced drama stuff), and as a bonus the girl is not some beacon of shy purity. Like, she doesn't actually know how this stuff works, but she also is pretty sure she wants to climb the shit out of that man mountain. There's an actual chapter dedicated to her being bummed that since he only has media to go with, never having had a girlfriend, dude tries to reassure her by assuring her he won't do anything untoward, when she's kinda significantly looking forward to said untowardness :P.

The kissing practice might still be one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. Poor everyone involved.

Edit: Oh right, since this reminded me: Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is an amazing series. It's technically a romance I guess? Though really the best romance is when they play the dating sim during one of the episodes. It just goes off the rails and is fantastic. TOMODAAAAA.

Not sure what Dark horses record on manga is but woo.

They localized Lone Wolf and Cub, Oh My Goddess, Gunsmith Cats, and a whole bunch of other classic titles. They know what they're doing.

Berserk, Hellsing, Kurosaki Corpse Delivery Service and Blade of the Immortal are by them, among others. They do good work.

I did appreciate that the Umineko releases on steam referred to them as "Umineko: When the Seagulls Cry" in the game windows, because that game has some truly incredible title drops.

Higurashi on steam doesn't do that unfortunately.

I would fucking read a spinoff series about Suneater, he has my favourite superpower in MHA because it's just so versatile.
