Drakengard 2 is deservedly a black sheep, but it's arguably the least frustrating game of the 3, and has some stellar artwork.

Man Azumanga daioh, I have not watched that show in like a decade or something, I wonder if it still holds up. I have really fond memories of the show despite remembering only fragments of specific scenes now

AD is great. I was just making a crap joke about how the title of the show you were talking about could just as easily be a description of AD.

I can't find clips of it on YouTube or dailymotion anymore, but while I preferred the subs, there's this great part in the NA dub when Yukari is explaining her bet with Nyamo to her class and she exclaims 'Victory! I got Osaka' and Ayumu responds 'I've been got' in her slow southern drawl? Something about the VA's delivery is both adorable, and just completely cracks me up every time I think of it.

It's not an isekai but there was a manga about a mafia boss's daughter, whose father had a tournament for his daughter's hand in marriage and to succeed him as mafia boss.

The daughter entered to gain her freedom.

Can't recall the name, but it got an anime.

La storia della Arcana Famiglia is the anime you're probably thinking of. It was pretty alright.

Drakengard 1 is the story of a ruthlessly violent soldier on a quest with the most horrible RPG party you could possibly imagine. Because their foes are a mix of death cultists and eldritch gods from other dimensions... they're still the good guys. Barely. Sort of.
Drakengard 2 follows up on the uneasy peace created in one of Drakengard 1's least horrible endings. That ending did entail Caim losing EVERYTHING though, so he's diligently trying to undo the holding pattern the world has fallen into. You play as some idiotic twerp who is your basic JRPG protagonist and I don't think there's anything crazy or horrible about him really. He's just boring and dumb.
Drakengard 3 is a prequel to 1, so clearly there isn't going to be anything even CLOSE to a happy ending. You play as a mass murdering psycho who is doing what Caim was doing in 2, trying to undo a seemingly stable and okay world situation, for reasons of "It's not actually okay, if you realize what's happening behind the scenes."

I've actually just gotten through 20 volumes of Yona of the Dawn.

It's a very good fantasy series starring a very good female character, who's saving the land with her harem of very good boys.

I think D2's character isn't as bad as you give him credit for. He's bland compared to D1 and D3's sure, but I saw him more as someone genuinely trying to do the right thing in a world where literally everyone else is evil and insane.

Of course, I'm like the only person who liked D2, so...

Also, the ending song is beautiful.

I only played drakenguard one don’t remember much except for the flying babies , blind dude was a super into little kids and his fairy was a massive bitch and main dude loved his sister. He really loved his sister . I also remember the swords giving you more story the more you leveled them.

That's a Taro trademark, most of his games have twisted weapon stories.

(Fairies are evil beings in D3 too.)

Also, not quiiite about Caim's sister:
She love loves him, he reacts with disgust, she kills herself.

Kuroko is definitely a big reason why I gave up on the show after, like, 3 or 4 episodes?

Also the dialogue in general was just not good enough to put up with a character like that.

Looks like they managed to get this week's Jump out, but next week's is delayed.

One Piece continues to fire on all cylinders.
    977
Dense chapter with a lot of characters, plans, dialogue and moving parts. So many great little details it's hard to list them all, but I LOVED when all the Straw Hats were fighting, there was a small beat panel with Usopp, Nami, and Chopper just watching. No room for them fighting alongside the rest of the monster crew.

Not sure, but Jimbei may now be the 2nd strongest Straw Hat, after Luffy himself.

Well, Nowe is trying to do the right thing, but he’s horribly misinformed about what that is. So:
he goes around disabling the keystones that keep the flying man-eating god-babies from invading the world.

Yeah, Kuroko is a definite negative, but at least she's competent and professional when she's not trying to get into Misaka's shorts.

As far as Index, do you mean Index herself or Touma? I think Touma's hilarious, but Index is basically Aqua played straight.

    Amusingly enough this season Kuroko
gets her mind "re-arranged" (along with Uiharu and Saten) so she doesn't know Misaka anymore. Which means all the rapey stuff is non-existent. She just wants to help Misaka way more than other randos and she doesn't realize why.

Anime cons in the 2000 were pretty much chan message boards get togethers. It's like /a/ and the various NSFW boards but with body odor. You think a bunch of weebs who think everything Japanese is superior might take notice of Japan's bathing culture but nope mother fuckers smelled like they only showered on a monthly basis.

Toradora and In/Spectre are both this way.

Well, okay In/Spectre is not technically a romance anime as their dating is just a sideline to focus of solving monster problems by talking.

But it does have the thirstiest protagonist I've seen.
