In the books, each of the years covered in the show was a separate book. So the train book set in 1931 came out after Firo's meeting with Ennis is 1930.
Whereas with the books, the 1930 book came out first so you already knew Isaac and Miria were immortal (even if they themselves don't realize it for over 70 years).
I wish a second season would happen. I haven't read the books so I don't know which following years one should mash up but

who hurt you
Munkus hurt Munkus, in this case
probably teemo
Tokyo 24th Ward was maybe more okay though. Was a double length first episode. It certainly took a turn at the halfway point. Basically anime teenager Early Edition, if the newspaper was your dead teenage friend/sister who was now an AI I guess, who also gave you super powers to save the people in the visions of tragedy. Very akin to a GoHands show in that the cast is huge and everybody is a silly cariacature, but takes itself less seriously and the production is less filled with the excessive glow and CGI. Not as well animated either though, but that may be more because the direction was also super weird with way too much effort going into random unimportant scenes, and very little going into important ones. It at least had a story and a hook, which is more than can be said for the other three.
I mean, it wasn't GOOD either, but it was at least within spitting distance of being amusingly unhinged.
It's so odd but I love it. Kinda reminds me of Cromartie High School during times when they just go for gags
Pretty good so far, wish the animation was a touch more ambitious but it is what it is
Poorly animated. Badly directed action scene (singular) that was mostly a cut away to a dude standing nearby taking most of a minute to explain how the one pickax swing was actually a sword drawing technique. A third of the dialogue is the protagonists yelling "BUT OUR DREAMS."
Just low end shounen, basically.
If you know if you know
the anime and manga both do this with the president too and it's very uncomfortable for several reasons
(It's like an isekai power fantasy)
Nagatoro starts put more cruel than anything, but gets much more cute and ribbing. The author unfortunately confuses writing teens as being horny with the audience being horny for teens
Anyone know what the reaction has been like in Japan? For English speakers, I heard both the discord and the reddit had to just shut down for a while.
Actual spoiler if you haven't caught up/anime only
I got diabetes from this
I thought that bit of dialog should have been
For those of us not in the know, can we get some context? Especially on how this image is linked to a discord shutting down???

But it was pretty good, as far as a 'cute girls doing cute sports' show goes.
Consider large parts of idol training actually break them down as human beings similar to how military training does it and I'm going to have to disagree. Idol training is probably exactly how I'd train a bunch of ice murderers.
I also watched the first episodes of Land of Leadale and Police in a Pod. Leadale seems like it could be fun, it's combining a few isekai tropes in an interesting way. It was relaxing and cute in a way I'd hoped that slime killing witch show would be, before actually watching it and being disappointed.
Police in a Pod is basically a Hot Fuzz style buddy cop show where the cool former detective is stuck in a quiet part of town handing out speeding tickets and giving safety lessens to little kids. Also her partner hates cops and hates being a cop, but loves the steady pay and benefits. And thinks the former detective is really hot. Apparently there was a live action version, so I think I'm going to check that out as well, as those are always fun.
Not really. Its hard to find anything with everyone memeing on it
i described it as "Dorohedoro is the author pulling a pile of increasingly disturbing yet oddly endearing rugs from underneath the audience."
And I stand by that statement.
