I'm just glad they finally have Gohan some non-chump shit to do
To be fair Goku was right, he could totally whoop their ass and back. If he didn't have heart cancer or whatever
Also Krillin gets a big red button to press to blow up 18's head but decides to not do it, so she gets eaten and Cell becomes whole
I'd call him an idiot but that's redundant and also that's absurdly common in real life.
FOLLOW YOUR DAMN PRESCRIPTION, GOKU.
Maybe (I don't remember how much trouble 16-18 gave him after he was cured). But leaving Gero alone also meant that Cell ended up happening.
Regardless, it's the story flat out saying that in order for things to happen, the characters have to straight up ignore the thing it's literally named after. And pretty much putting the lives of lots of innocent people at risk because Goku wanted to have some fun.
You barely saw the warm up of Zero. Right after that is when multiple servants start throwing down at once.
To be fair, 18 hadn't done anything at that point and Krillin had reason to believe she was not a bad person.
The blame there lies in Vegeta, as usual, getting a big head and letting Cell go after her. Also Trunks for hiding his power to not upset Vegeta.
Cooler's probably the next most popular movie villain after Broly, right?
They'd pretty much have to say Cooler was banished to the ass end of the universe or something to explain his absence.
I've seen the fights, and I know how long and how arduous it is to both get to them, and to sit through them. I'm good, thanks.
Also, the 'warm up' is nearly a third of the show.
That one is on Vegeta, not Krillin. Krillin made the ethical decision to not kill someone pre-crime style (... because he was horned up). Vegeta then decided to not win the fight on purpose because challenge is life affirming to him.
Zero's about a lot more than just the fights.
King Cold sent Frieza to one end and Cooler to the other, with the goal of whoever conquers more of the universe becomes his successor. Cooler reaches the halfway mark expecting to meet his brother and gets informed of how daddy's dead and Frieza got his ass beat. Cue the teamup, duo training, and maybe even a canonization of Golden Cooler. I mean that's my take on how they could do it.
Yeah, that stuff is the excruciating price to pay to get to see random historical figures punch each other in the face.
And the waifus/husbandos, as I believe the children say.
Which is also a fairly excruciating price, though certainly far more egregious in the other Fate iterations.
I've just binged through the webcomic version of that and it is _incredible_ how quickly I became invested in the characters and what will happen to them, wow. (ooh, and looking at episode descriptions it looks as if the anime is significantly ahead of the (translated) webcomic, so I guess time to do some watching)
Dragonball heroes is great in a terrible way because it's basically everything ever in Dragonball jammed together. It's fantastic and very dumb and I'm glad it exists

I'll admit tho my absolute favorite episode of Super is the one with Arale
None of the big moments of Zero are worth squat unless you've seen all the character setup that drives them. If you haven't seen the rest of the show the last fight between main protagonist and antagonist is completely meaningless. If you have, it is transcendent.
It's an urubuchi show after all, it's entirely character driven.
I remember watching the clip you showed once of a "great scene" and I didn't find it all that impressive, tbh. In particular, it still had a lot of people talking. I was missing all the character understanding and setup that made that fight pay off for you so much. Without it, it was just kinda there? Decent animation in parts, rest of it not that special.
If I posted a screenshot of this, which happens on screen with much, much more detail than is necessary no matter how important to the book's plot it might be, I would be immediately banned. If I said exactly what happened outside of spoilers, I'd probably get jailed.
But let's just pretend it didn't happen and move on I guess? While that character appears every few episodes with incredibly obvious signs of what happened very visible and focused on so you could never possibly forget.
But tbh never watched Fate because it sounds pretty not my bag so I can't talk shit
Fate Stay Night was an erogame that was literally better when it was ported elsewhere without the h scenes
Given how grave Future Trunks warning was, I'm inclined to think Krillin (and Goku and Vegeta) willfully endangered the future for very silly reasons. Easier to kill baby Cell and then resurrect the androids later if they think they could be saved, but nah
Like I'm glad it happened, Cell Saga slapped and was the last like iconic DBZ arc but yeah, it was the start of them all making bad decisions to based on who they wanted to fight or fuck
Look I believe you
But isn't the porn game what blew it up?
Yeah, enough so that it got ported to like PS2 and stuff without any of the porn parts
While I'm in no way defending that scene(and they handled it with way more tact and subtlety than the book, and it's sadly an inevitable aspect of the source material), I honestly find Caster's actions in the second episode to be just as if not more disturbing.
(Incidentally, I think she only appears one more time in the entire series.)
