Pretty sure in the light novels you have some paragraphs open with stuff like "Several weeks later..." or "After some time goes by..."
So many minor line changes that dont do anything
Everyone sounding slightly worse because they are like....60
and a continuous feeling gaslit.
I GOTTA know what happened behind the scene to make it happen this way
it all keeps tumbling down, bluedude
Our thoughts on this journey through cinema??
In summary:
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
Yeah we're going to do a little manga book club. The first assignment is...
Battle Angel Alita! Now a blockbuster Hollywood film by the creator of Avatar! No, the other Avatar!
No, fuck, the other adaptation!
That's the one, with the big eyes.
Yes, the plan is to read the manga about two volumes a week, discuss it, then watch the film (and possibly the OVA) after. So, if you didn't think you'd be able to make it to live shows, but can handle reading some manga chapters every week, PM me for an invite to the Discord.
Our plan for Chapter 2 is Billy Bat, which is apparently a manga all about how Walt Disney is evil. Also excited about that!
I shouldn't have to watch another movie years later to make sense of what the fuck I had watched
Ugh.
I cannot imagine watching this and having to wait 7 years to see how this is all tied up.
Something something resting place of the Holy Sexts?
Armies!
Hackers!
Sea cows!
And it was just an experience of identifying one Dragon Ball Z voice after another.
Now if they can just fix their season/sub/dub sorting and app...
I'd brace yourself, I didn't like the second season nearly as much. It loses a lot of its focus by introducing the new faces.

Good news? While next season (April!) should introduce another two faces (or rather, "upgrade two background characters to supporting cast,") the main focus is back on the two main leads.
Um, Season 2 is as good as the first, though? There's no reason to worry? It doesn't introduce that many new faces? It's fine?
I mean, it gets more dramatic than the first at times, yes, but it's in the service of developing its characters, so it's okay?
[Editor's Note: I wrote and posted this before reading other people's responses.]
Funi sub was $7 a month, the worthwhile plan at Crunchyroll is $10 a month, so the hike is already here.
You don't think they'll miss getting 17 a month tho
Some board member is taking a fat dump right now thinking of ways to increase the price so they can buy a tiny yacht to go in the pool of their bigger yacht
Convenient, but media consolidation remains a worrying thing.
The Crunchyroll app ekes out ahead of the Funimation app in usability though.
Wow, that's a lot of twists and turns! Like in one of my Japanese cartoons!
I don't mind the drama at all, season 1 gets very dramatic. I just find the added student council stuff to be boring.
Funimation had secured the streaming rights to most of the higher quality series between them and had more paywalled content too so if you were paying for either it made more sense to pay funi imo
I assume "crunchyroll being too demanding" was "crunchyroll was asking for too much money for a buyout so we made our own streaming site to take all of the higher quality new content away so their business would suffer and they would sell to us lower"
