After each episode of Sono Bisque I've been going back and re-reading the manga chapters the show covers. The show follows the manga very very closely. A few things have been omitted such as Gojou's interactions with the older man at the fabric store.

I wouldn't completely rule out it just breaking on it's own, depending on the weather and other conditions but the cultural significance makes it very suspicious obviously.

Apparently it had a major crack form several years ago, so it seems like a natural event is the most likely explanation. It’s still a shame, but at least it probably wasn’t avoidable.

I think AoT was a really good mystery box that once we started getting answers slipped further and further into
"oh no it's a Japanese perspective on Nazis" and like yea, on the face of it that's a problem that's hard to tackle? And to be clear I haven't started the second half of S4. But it does feel bit too on the nose at times

The biggest takeaway I can get from AoT as is now is that "everyone is the victim of war except those waging it"

I only watched the first season since I heard the latter seasons of Pyscho Pass were bad, and the first season tells a pretty complete story anyway but also the climactic reveal was so bad that it has made me like everything that preceded it less

Maybe it's the current climate but S4 of AoT has real strong
Nuclear escalation vibes to me. Like, the Rumbling being this world ending thing that other countries want to destroy Paradis for and subsequently Eren's desire to use it.

Psycho-pass drops the ball with its philosophy pretty hard so I cannot recommend it.

The philosophy was already pretty fucked from the get-go. Like, the very first episode has the system go:

SYSTEM: "This hostage is freaking out after being assaulted and seeing someone murdered right in front of her. SHE IS AN IRREDEEMABLE CRIMINAL! EXECUTE IMMEDIATELY!"
    Akane: "Wait, what? No."
SYSTEM: "Oh, uh. Okay. Maybe some therapy instead."

Tonight on AniMenagerie we finished the first season of Fate/Zero (we won't be continuing it).

And on Kill la Kill we were introduced to Nui Harime.

On a completely different note was it here that someone said that Psycho-Pass a mediocre anime with a really good OP song? Cause I accidentally came across that song and yeah it is really good even on its own

e: the mediocre thing is just what I recall I know nothing of the show

Maybe Kokkoku? I loved it, but nobody else really did. But everyone agrees the OP is great.

Update: the episode played on Crunchyroll now (on the Xbox app) that I tried it at night. It will not do me much good when popular episodes have variable availability, so I hope this is not a vision of what things will be like when Funimation's player is gone. The show was Dress-Up Darling btw, which is cute and wholesome in theme... and then full crack on display for some reason.

Demon Slayer question: I rewatched the first season and just finished the movie. Should I be skipping the first part of Season 2 and jumping into the next arc, or does the anime Mugen Train arc do enough different from the movie that I should give it a watch?

The episode starts with a guy walking out of a burning building covered in a dark flame and then slowly turning to ash and screaming in front of his mortified family

I have some fond memories of Kill la Kill and would like to rewatch it some day, but there was one scene that was so horribly out of place, and which I hated so much, that each time im reminded of it I just... lose my drive to continue thinking about this series.

I mean, of course, the scene in which it is revealed that
Satsuki is molested by her own mother, which is only present in the story for a cheap shock value, and which if I remember correctly, never gets mentioned ever again.

There are few anime in which subplot like that could be present and be treated respectfully instead of with YIKES, but oh boy, Kill la Kill is definitely not one of them.
