I ran across this manga and saved it for later, but now I'll probably just wait and watch this instead.
The characterization of all of the characters are consistently adorable and I love how it manages to be this dungeon crawl manga that is actually about nutrition and ecology. You really get a sense of the author's deep love of biology.

I had the same reaction to the ad for Ancient Magus Bride: Magic College arc...

I know, but the author clearly planned it and it's one of the best parts because unless you're paying attention it'll slip right past you and then bam and you're just like Ryōko Kui you magnificent bastard!
It's great. Speaking of which, we should have a new chapter very soon.

I couldn't finish the Ancient Magus Bride anime. It just got too depressing for me.

I'll be perfectly honest and say I have no clue if it is kosher, I just googled "read dungeon meshi"
Laius' struggles with people are too real for me
Or were
Ever since Amazon did whatever shit they did to comixology, I literally can't purchase volumes from them anymore and it's genuinely very upsetting

there’s a chapter to go so there could be one final swerve left I guess but I really like where the series has ended itself
So that's what this feels like...
I hate it!

The publisher also lists some other places where the ebook can be bought

I haven't tried buying anything from Comixology after Amazon fucked it, but it does seem very bad overall at the moment.
When MHA became what it is
Loid’s backstory goes so much fucking harder than it has to and has maybe the rawest line of text I’ve read in a while
That’s gonna be cool as hell next season

Yea. In light of current events, I did not expect it to go as hard as it did.
Cool, I'm going to start buying the ebooks then.

I just read through this, and it's great when it's doing the main plot or the other subplots directly related to Connie, but I think it could do with a lot less of the secondary/tertiary plots, there is just too much to keep track of, and it feels like there's a couple of new characters get introduced pretty much every chapter. Reading it all in one solid go I could just about keep up, but I am pretty confident that reading it as it gets released I'm going to be totally lost.
All that said, I continue to be a big sucker for:
Unrelated, but worth a look: "Ah, My Job-Hunting Goddess" is a spinoff of Ah, My Goddess -- I've not read the original but I know who the characters are anyway just through osmosis; this is a story about them trying to get jobs and Belldandy being bad at interviews. I'm not sure how accurately it reflects that actual Japanese job market but it's pretty lightweight fun.
(edit, oh, and the latest Nozaki-Kun had me laughing so much I had to try and explain why it's funny to people within earshot, which is _not_ particularly easy given how much context is going on there)
How does English Anya do? Because Japanese Anya is really good.
God I just love this series. It's so silly and funny and melancholic and cute.
The manga absolutely gives me the feeling that it's going to be one of those things where there's like four separate plots going on at the same time until they all crash together in a gigantic mega-clusterfuck.
I have no trouble keeping up, but I was raised by reading fantasy novels in a library that had a ton of missing parts of series so I got pretty good at both extrapolating things from context and remembering characters that haven't appeared in a while.
