My call
Akainu is either the final boss, or Luffy doesn't even get the chance to kill him.
In fact, actually I would almost put money on Blackbeard killing Akainu.
Blackbeard could show up again, or get dealt with before.
Akainu isn't the final boss.
What an absolutely FANTASTIC movie with a truly stellar dub. My only complaints are that I wish there was another pop song like in the beginning (well at least as far as the english songs go), and that the passage of time in the beginning is very weirdly handled.
The new chapter of OPM was apparently redrawn at the last minute. So now there's two versions out there, an Viz (last time I checked) had the first one.
Murata constantly goes back and redraws chapters all the fucking time, and Shonen Jump's app never fucking updates them. It's really annoying.

That's wild cause this week chapter end in vastly different places.
Yeah, it's one of those dear jump you're literally driving piracy with this. Literally! And it's not just this chapter that differs. There's entire subplots that have been added, tweaked, whatever by his redraws.
It's also why the manga is so slow to come out, because a lot of time is going to going back and doing redraws.

He also tends to do that. See the fight between the kid genius and Phoenixman for a good example of just how many variations he put out on it. Actually got kind of annoying for a while!
ONE's still storyboarding the remake, from what I understand, Murata's just doing the art.
Oh shit, I have a month (several, even!) blocked off for psychological... what's it called when you're re-learning how to use a limb after an accident? That.
Is it a good idea for me to start reading One Piece?
The second best time is when it finally finishes and gets a condensed version.
YGO:TAS is not TFS, thankfully enough. Although even TFS humour is sketchy for me at times.
It's still hilarious to me that Disney+ monopolized this series.
Also a good example of the way they're rightfully toning down dumb shit in the manga, cause wife-shadow upon being damaged the first time had her clothes explode and then turned into a boob chimera.
Alliance politics continue to be a little too real.
From time to time someone gets knocked into something hard enough to leave a big crater but that's about it. I'm simplifying, of course, but I was fairly surprised at how repetitive the fight scenes felt; we get told that X is now even more powerful than they were before, or new-character-Y is super tough, but there's not a lot of evidence of that in the actual combat other than that when new-character-Y hits X, X gets knocked backwards, which I guess implies that Y is tough because we know that X is tough so Y must be tougher? But that's exactly the same way that we were shown how tough people are back in the first chapters, there only scaling up is relative to other people but everyone's scaling up, so the only real change to what _happens_ is the size of the kamehameha's.
And, sure, there is the occasional very very large amount of collateral damage but it never really feels like anything particularly dramatic happened, we just get told about it and it's mainly offscreen / "here is a lot of destruction" after the fact.
On the other hand, looking at the latest chapters of OPM (the one on the viz site, at least), there's a much greater sense of "whoa, that is a big fight" -- the more detailed art doesn't hurt, but there's been more variety in what's going on during the recent fight scenes, the effects on the world outside are more varied and impressive, it just has more 'oomph'.
What series?
Summer Time Render
Fair. The pacing on the manga version of the Monster Association has been all kinds of wack.
It has been going for literal years and also depending on how you count it, it's well over half the murata manga currently.

It's just that Murata also expanded everything else, so it seems even more dragged out
ffffuuuuuuck
i'mma go back to watching inu-oh trailers to cope
But also there's a fan artist on pixiv who keeps drawing Watamote in Naoki Urasawa style and it's kinda amazing
Not a trouble with the artist's source material at least, in terms of making something great.
To LittleKuriboh's credit he has a disclaimer about how poorly his early episodes have aged. He is correct in his own assessment.
If you're a manga enjoyer it might be prudent to avoid buying anything seven seas puts out
here's a hint what it is
