Can Meia win instead of Dita this time?
I think I'll go with...Serial Experiments Lain. I don't know if a modern version could hit like the original though, when it was prescient about technology instead of reality. But maybe it could go even further because of that, really dive into that transhumanism aspect.
Goddammit.
Magic Knight Rayearth is my backup then.
What you don't want to see an anime about how the real horror of technology was actually censorship and cancel culture?
This is the funniest thing to happen to digimon in years, to be fair
I'm sorry what
Konaka wrote a Tamers sequel but couldn't get it greenlit as an anime so did a live read of it
Maddoc is not exaggerating the part where Political Correctness is the villain
(This is a sequel to the audio drama from 2018, which is like a time loop thing where they never met their buddies)
Man this is bad. It's like someone trying to copy Trigger's low budget style without having any idea how they use choreography and energy and flow to exponentially increase the value and impact of each frame.
Are there any other series out there where the kid hero's secret powers are actually known to their parents / mundane friends and just kind of accepted?
I'm "kupiyupaekio" on Discord.
The thing that spurs them into fighting Political Correctness? PC forces everybody into groupthink and uses Fake News to censor the truth.
It is so much projection.
uh... it's literally made by studio trigger, and I really liked the trailer(s)
I know, which makes it especially weird that it looks that bad! Hopefully that scene's an outlier, that trailer does have the usual Trigger flair.
I read something somewhere that described the show something like this:
"It's like if there was this sentai series with all these characters and backstories, and then someone wrote a fluffy romance fanfic about that sentai, and that fanfic is what got made into an anime."
Basically, it's romcom hijinks in a sentai setting. The Red Ranger and one of the Evil General Ladies are dating but have to keep it a secret from everyone (especially since all the Ranger identities are public knowledge in this setting, so the Red Ranger is very recognizable to most people).
It's based on a manga which is also officially available in English, but I haven't read it.

I have the same issue with it as I do all these ostensible romance shows. Instead of actually developing the characters and having a relationship, it always takes the tack towards over-dramaticizing the absolute minimum people do just in the course of normal interactions, like taking a photo together, or going to the other's room. You don't need to sacrifice comedy or the premise to do that. It is absolutely totally inoffensive and watchable enough though. I just can't see anybody sparing a thought for it approximately three minutes after it's done airing.
The show I'm surprised that seems to have completely fallen out of everybody's radar is the Zhuge Liang idol one. Seemed like everybody was super into it for the first two episodes, or at least the OP, and then... nothing. A few dance imitations from the VTuber/VR crowd, but otherwise it feels like it just went poof and everything's SxF and Birdie Wing.
i love any Ranma reference
I meant more of a "I haven't seen this discussed so you might not be aware this anime is airing and it's pretty enjoyable" not "Let's all discuss every episode" kind of thing. Yeah, there's not really going to be much to debate about it, I just figured I'd bring up a show that is rarely mentioned.
It's not as good as Spy x Family or Kaguya-sama, but I've enjoyed it more than the rest of the stuff I've watched from this season.
Though I haven't seen the Zhuge Liang anime because it's exclusive to HiDive and I don't have that one.
Ya Boy Kongming is still pretty good.
Oh yeah, I was totally agreeing with you. I've recommended it to several people. But all I can say is, "You'll instantly know if you like it or not." I don't expect any twist or big shakeup.
This was like watching Eminem battle Robert Frost.
I will admit I never though I'd hear perestroika in a rap.
He dies in the past and just kinda wakes up as a younger version of himself in modern day Japan.
Ah, so isekai-ish only without the actual 'other world'.
In that case bold move to antagonize the guy who handled Lu Bu on a daily basis.
Anyway, it's really good and well worth watching.

im just dying yall this is gonna be a fun ass movie
Point of order.
Zhuge Liang was like, 10 when Lu Bu was doing his main shit. Hell, Red Cliffs was Liang's first notable battle, and that's almost a decade after Lu Bu bit it.
