About Tonikaku Kawaii anime
I really wanted to watch Call of the Night; it's a shame it ended up on HiDive.
When all anime was divided between Crunchyroll and Funimation, you could subscribe to one and watch commercials on the other. Now I think I'll actually miss a few shows every season I want to watch.
the angsty tweens are out of control
The main characters in Bastard are explicitly stated as being 14 in the manga. Pretty sure the new anime wisely wrote that bit out.
? which one do you mean?
(From what I've heard, they're pretty lax with licensing out Macross, as long as you slap their stupid logo on it in plain sight.)
He was not joking about making skits to pay the mortgage. Get 'em while they're hot.
Also YouTube.
And last chapter is out.
Sentai filmworks is is having another sale and some of the smaller titles are on "get this out of our warehouse" prices. Like DVDs as low as a dollar.
Steam
Most of it is worth that much, but Devil Survivor 2 was only $5(and I actually liked the show), so I was sold.
Thanks, spent the money I was saving for any last minute Steam Sale purchases on this instead. Got a few things I'd had my eye on for a while.
I bought The Big O (never watched it). Was going to buy Non Non Biyori Complete (and NNB Vacation and Fist of the North Star DD), but free shipping doesn't extend to Canada...
Wow that's a lot of series. I don't know a lot of these, but of the ones I do recognize, here are the ones I have positive things to say about:
Angelic Layer: Tournament battle story where the mode of competition is robotic dolls that are brought to life in the battle arena.
Armored Trooper VOTOMs: Slightly less famous than Gundam and Macross mecha anime from the 80s, I hear people talk about it positively but I've never seen it myself.
Aura Battler Dunbine: Same comments as VOTOMs, semi-famous 80s mecha series I haven't seen, the robots are powered by magic though I think?
Big O: I always enjoyed this on Toonami back in the day, kind of a nonsense plot but it's cool and very nicely animated.
Bodacious Space Pirates: Fun sci-fi story about a high school girl who inherits a space letter of marque and the space pirate ship and crew that go with it.
Cobra the Animation: A classic, fairly influential 80s sci-fi action anime.
Flip Flappers: I don't really understand the plot but this series was a fun trip. Surrealist magical girl deconstruction, I guess? The girls are pretty gay but it's not horny.
Flying Witch: Good slice of life show about an apprentice witch who moves back to the countryside.
Girls' Last Tour: A surreal and melancholy story about two high school girls who got drafted right before the world ended and wander around the post-apocalypse in their half-track military transport.
Gourmet Girl Graffiti: Don't let the box art fool you, this is a very wholesome slice of life show about cooking, enjoyed this one a lot.
HaNaYaMaTa: A fun slice of life/sports anime about a style of japanese cheer dancing.
Hello KinMoza/Kirino Mozaic: Cutesy slice of life about some Japanese high school girls and British exchange students being friends.
Hozuki's Coolheadedness: Very funny series about the daily lives of the oni who's secretary to King Enma in (Buddhist? Japanese Buddhist?) hell. I loved this series.
Initial
Maoyu: Fantasy romance between the human Hero and the Demon King as they try to fix medieval human civilization so it sucks less and they will stop attacking the demons, by using politics, economics and science. This appealed to me greatly but the anime only got one season so it cuts off partway through the story.
Monster Musume: Horny-ass harem anime about a guy and his house full of sexy anime half-monster ladies who want to bone him. This show is trashy in the classic harem anime tradition, but I did enjoy it a bit.
Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun: Romantic comedy (emphasis on the comedy) about a high school boy manga author who has a monthly published series in a manga magazine targeted at girls, but is clueless about love himself so the girl who has a crush on him ends up helping him with his work. It's hilarious, I love this series.
Non Non Biyori: Extremely chill slice of life anime about young kids living in rural Japan.
Patlabor: Classic early 90s mecha anime about the adventures of the giant robot police squad.
Squid Girl: Comedy slice of life about an energetic anthropomorphized squid girl child who washes up on the beach and starts living with a local family.
The Demon Girl Next Door: Cute comedy about a ditzy girl who discovers she's a demon when her horns and tail suddenly grow in one day, and her adventures with her magical girl classmate friend.
The Familiar of Zero: An older proto-isekai action/romance light novel adaptation that predates the big boom of these after Sword Art took off, Japanese boy gets zapped to a magic school in fantasy world as the familiar of an arrogant pipsqueak mage girl who can't admit she likes him. It's fairly rote now but I found it entertaining back in the day when these tropes were less worn out.
Disappointing. That's still a write-off from me then.
I've never seen Space Brothers, but for $8 I'll roll the dice.
That’s kinda where I’m leaning with the Sakura wars anime. I’ve been aware of the game series for a long time but never played it and the blu ray is 9 bucks.
Steam
Apparently the version on sale (Initial D Legend Theatrical Collection) only has the movies, who don't have the Eurobeat. Just so everyone knows.
Votoms is a dull show, but if nothing else, you can appreciate how influential it must have been on later, better shows.
And the OP rocks:
boooooo
hidamari sketch, revue starlight, and venus wars are maybes
also gonna grab the di gi charat ova since it's just a dollar
Ok so I'm dumb and have questions. I went to this site (favorGK) and they had a shitload of pretty cool statues. But alotttt of them were NSFW and im so confused, are these licensed or not? Something tells me the ones of AoT characters with their asses out aren't but I'm just so, so confused
But oh my goodness the second half goes hard. And then all the OVAs? Incredible.

Whether that resonates depends on how much you're along for the ride though
There's 8 DVDs (I'm assuming that's the whole series) but for some reason only 3 Blu-Rays. You might have an easier time picking them out from the series page.
Edit: Lanz had suggested to me Garo like yesterday and it happens to be on sale EXCEPT for the first half of the first series. I can’t even find it on eBay so I’m probably gonna skip it.
Steam
I didn't know Fabio was in an anime
The first arc is just ACAB so I was all-in on it. The second arc is where you feel like you get all of what they're going for half-way in.

I'm not ready I'm NOT READY
Even back then in my teenage years I thought Bastard!! was far too horny for its own good, but also fun as heck, so I'm curious how I'll find it now. Also, I am amused the 1992 OVA was more on model with that hydra than the new one is.
But I'm told competition is only good and everyone should be thankful.
Super good.
