    And how!

I’m trying to work out what it tells us about the relative timelines, too.

Timelines for both series are a mess. It's pretty strongly implied both series work on a rolling "always near the present" timeline. (Very aggressively so in Osho no Ko's case, with the world pretty much standing still during a decade long timeskip.) From previous author comments, Oshi no Ko takes place "several years" in Kaguya-sama's future, where the main cast of Kaguya-sama have become "members of society" - with another year or two of high school and then another ~4 for college/university, that'd place them at least 5-6 years apart. And there are some minor details in the manga themselves that suggest it can't be much more than that, either. (But also an easily retconned.)

Extra chapter doesn't really contradict any of that, so I think that approximation gets to stand for now.

    Sort-of, yes.

Oshi no Ko is set in the same universe, but until this extra chapter the crossovers were on the level of easter eggs.
The manga Sweet Today exists in both, there's a song that shows up in both series, and there are two minor characters with the same family name, and word of the author says they're sisters. (Neither have mentioned the existence of a sister in the works themselves.) That's about the extend of it.
(There's a fan theory that another minor character actually did cross over, but it's more wild speculation than actually hinted at.)

[edit] There's also the We Want to Talk About Kaguya-sama 4koma spin-off, but I'm not sure if that counts as an extended universe.

If you're current with the Kaguya-sama manga, you'll want to track it down. (Or not, 'cause it's something of a premature epilogue.) No knowledge of Oshi no Ko required.

    Anime-only safe-ish spoiler:
Kaguya herself shows up, and there are some implications.
    For realsies spoiler:
Specifically, Kaguya Shirogane shows up. Those idiots managed to tie the knot.

Mashle is better than Harry Potter

    This will be fun

Genuinely if your partner likes Harry Potter, put them onto a: Witch Hat Atelier, and b: Naomi Novik's The Scholomance.

Both deal with Wizard school type ideas, and both are vastly better than the transphobic bigot's crud.

Also: Yeah, my one big concern with an adaption of Dungeon Meshi is it getting the artstyle right. a huge amount of why Dungeon Meshi is as good as it is Ryōko Kui's artistic genius, and the level of effort she puts into every character design. Which could be easily wrecked by doing some generically anime horny crap.

    I'll check those out!

I will say, the thing about Mashle I really enjoy is how Mash just uses completely normal sports shit with superhuman power/speed behind it. It's incredibly creative.

I think you'll enjoy both of those them, they've got similar creative energy at points. I'd call them Harry Potter done right if I didn't feel I was slandering them by association.

... Yeah, I really don't like Harry Potter these days (partially I think they're actually pretty crud books, mostly it's because Rowling is a horrible person, and every moment her shit stays in the public sphere is more money and influence she gets to continue hurting people)

    Anyway! Read em, they're great

I have genuinely never understood Harry Potter in the first place. They're ok, and I read them all at the time (borrowed I think), but the fervor for them escapes me. I rate them firmly B minus as a whole. Not even considering that the woman is awful now, but it didn't ruin anything for me, as they're not books I am ever going to need to read again.

MY childhood fantasy story was the Chronicles of Prydain, which is basically Welsh mythology based Lord of the Rings for kids.

Harry Potter takes less imagination. It's generally grounded in modern takes on things, so it's easier to digest for all ages.

I got in on the Harry Potter train when I was like 5 in 1998, and was basically the perfect age for Harry Potter when it was at its peak. Lower Millennial demography was wild, let me tell ya. It really did a lot to reshape what the younger age demographics of young adult fiction could be in terms of the mass market (though I have always believed Animorphs was the peak of late '90s mass paperback YA, that was kind of in spite of the medium's tilt at the time towards extremely long runs of small books), or at least bring it back towards a format more akin to Narnia or Prydain (which I did read my mum's copies of when I was a kid)

But also I was basically done with those books by the minute I finished the last one in 2007, because I could see even by then that there was a lot of weird and problematic shit in there, and that JK Rowling's money had given her brain worms. Not to mention by then I'd long since realized the true apexes of the era's YA fiction were His Dark Materials and A Series of Unfortunate Events. So everything that's happened in the 15 years since has surprised me less than it probably should have, even if there was a point in time I tried to hope there was at least something worth redeeming there. The thing that really dashed my hopes for good, just before Rowling's outing herself as a TERF for realsies, was honestly the last act and ending of the first Fantastic Beasts film, though. At that moment I permanently noped out and haven't regretted it once

I was aware that Guyver was still slowly proceeding and hadn't finished yet but it turns out the last chapter was six years ago so maybe I won't decide to binge-read it which is a shame.

He ain't wrong though. As much as I've cooled on Naruto over the years it still occupies a place in my heart because there were times it was genuinely good and trying to impart a lesson. I still consider the first main arc, from beginning to end of the fight against Haku, to be my personal favorite for the contrasting themes of two outcasts both seeking acceptance from society but ultimately walking two very different roads.

And have someone standing by to smack him over the head every time he gets too horny.

But yes, apparently he started with an interest in doing Fashion design, and honestly, he's got a lot of strength in character and clothing design and should play to that. His action's... okay, there's certainly worse out there.

Every title card of every chapter in Bleach is just an excuse for Kubo to draw the fanciest of clothing that will never appear in the actual story when half the cast are wearing the same black robes as everyone else.

I mean, if i was drawing a series that's several pages per week, I'd keep the regular character design fairly simple too.

Villainess and similar manhwa are wild about clothes.

Sure, the guys all basically wear the same suit looking thing, no matter the series, but you're on average seeing the FL in at least ten different dresses by the end of the first season. A lot of them being incredibly detail oriented. Not to downplay the hair styles either. These artists must either love what they do or are all masochistic.
