Is also a very impressive management of CGI. All the long distance shots are 3d, but the closeups are all 2d and the transition is almost seamless. This is very well crafted.
Yea but story beats and story are just different. Telling someone what happens in a movie in 5 sentences vs. drawing it out and building tension and a beautiful cathartic climax. The story beats might be the same, but the writer and director have been completely swapped out.
All I want is the story to be finished.
I never expected the same quality because then what was the point of Miura?
He can't be replaced.
The loss is his legacy. The absence of awe tells us all the more keenly how gifted he was.
We arent getting Berserk finished. We are getting a best possible draft by people who truly care about finishing another man's lifes work in a form other than nothing. We'll have to live with that.
Pshhh, as though i can just NOT read what's provided. Pshh i say.
Another comment reminded me that the folks working on it are literally people who Miura trained and worked alongside for years. I think he'd be proud to know that they're the ones finishing what he started.
Maybe I don't need as good of art if it means killing someone. I'm ok with that.
I'm glad Miura's team was so supportive, I'm still irritated that no one honored Satoshi Kon's final wish to finish his movie.
In Slayers, we were introduced to Prince Phil and the ways of the pacifist. Also Randy was there.
In regards to Slayers, those of us that had seen it before had forgotten that Zelgadis, Amelia, and Phil all have different voice actors up through episode 13, and then settle on their regular ones after that (Amelia and Phil only get 3 episodes with their original actors).
Lastly we watched Golden Boy, the man who can shift his appearance from Jojo character to full-on Looney Tunes at the drop of a hat. All I knew about Golden Boy was the "I Want to Ride My Bicycle" amv and that it was perverted. I was not prepared.
Our discord chatroom was an avalanche of "No!!!" "Stop!!!" "YOU IDIOT!!!"
All aboard
Denji returns with a bang.
Manga plus splitting two page spreads in its vertical reader is terrible. They definitely are able to do it correctly, they just don't care.
The words in the horizontal reader are barely legible.
So, Good Omens but about fashion? I can dig it.
That's... exactly what Good Omens is. An angel and a devil are besties who'd rather have fun and enjoy humanity than deal with being on opposite sides of an apocalyptic war.
That kind of summarizes Good Omens too, except about men. :P
fixed that for you
Monday nights! We've got things going a few nights a week now. Like watching Riverdale, the most anime of all CW shows.
And I sent you an invite, I think.
I found it quite good. I vastly preferred the shorts that possessed no dialogue, but overall that was a very relaxing & enjoyable movie.
Katsuhiro Otomo is a fucking genius and an incredible draftsman.
K bye
