Okay this is a betrayal of the source material 0/10 avoid
Keep in mind anime movies didn't come to the west in theaters back then unless it ended in -mon so I think the movie was probably mostly for JP audiences, but hey I could be wrong
Well, they got LaKeith Stanfield and Willem Dafoe, so it wasn't all bad.
The Bebop movie specifically did come to US theaters, I saw it in one. I'm sure it made like... $10k all told for the US release, though.
I saw it recently when it came back to theaters and it was a treat. But yeah, I'm assuming unless you lived in LA or NY you didn't see it back at release.
Looks like a normal person
Also just flat out impossible as

Naw, they played it in the sticks too, just for like a day or two. This kind of thing was probably easier when Disney wasn't forcing theaters to show their movies a guaranteed x number of times per day or lose access to their whole catalog. At least there are dedicated efforts to let us see foreign stuff in a more organized way nowadays (for some reason, my theater completely passed on Decision to Leave despite showing Parasite willingly).
Not only that, but they still sell "Ultimate Cowboy Bebop" collections without the movie in it (because of rights issues, I'm sure), which is offensive imo. It's so ultimate, it's missing a major, excellent piece of content!
Also that too
No sign of the animamates yet... looks way better than the other seasons, but still a low bar.
And, while I may not know all that much about the history / lore of fighting games, I know enough to recognise that
Third Gear.
Aim for the Ace!!
And completely out of left field:
We've tried it before...
And, can't wait:
KiNG OF BRAVES
Nevermind, just got a 30th anniversary version recently!
What am I supposed to see on the second pic?
Iria Zeiram was just a boring Sentai live action
Hey, the Zeiram movie is pretty good. Great practical effects and suits. The anime was made after the movie as a prequel to it, though the plots don't really line up.
Yeah don't worry about spoiling me. One piece has been around for so long that I'm basically up to date on the story and stuff.
The smaller stuff still surprises me sometimes though.
Additionally, Zeiram was directed by long time Toku great Keita Amemiya
What else has Amemiya done, you ask?
Well, served as designer and director on multiple episodes of Jetman:
Directed both Kamen Rider ZO and J
Directed the reimagined take on Kikaider’s classic rival in Hakaider:
Created the GARO franchise:
And served as designer on a myriad other things, from the Onimusha Franchise to Shin Megami Tensei:
Also Mirai Ninja, which was fun:
So what you’re saying is nothing we could tell you plot wise is…
Wait don’t y’all mean…
