Enough is enough, is 20 years really not long enough to move on from Precure to the actual Cure? There's gotta be some shenanigans going on in this program...

They're doing an expo for it, they didn't do anything like this for IBO
Gotta assume this is Heartcatch? It's the one season that looks radically different from all the others.
Yes. The butt punch season.
i gotta pay more attention when i watch again with my partner, but i didn't really find most of the suits besides ariel that interesting the first time around. Are there any standouts in the models?

Yeah it felt like it ended a bit short but I really hope it gets another season, I think it was reasonably popular online it seems from all the memes about it
and then they had an actual collab after those photos went viral!
That's definitely the bleakest and most upsetting part of the show, and also unless my memory is missing something, the only episodes (including 6 since it's a continuation/end of that story) with

The plotting for that show was... Well, the 1960s were a different time.
They extended and conjured from whole cloth a bunch of cool fights, and also added some interesting scenes with (apparently) input from the original author in order to tease future developments that even the novels haven't explored yet.
Compared to the manga it wasn't outrightly funny, but having read the manga, I was able to view the played straight edgelord melodrama through the lens of "none of this is actually serious; the MC is a dense sociopathic LARPer" and as a result enjoy the series on multiple levels. One, as a parody in my head, if not on the screen, of chuuni isekai nonsense, and two, as a high production action series. They seriously went all out with the budget and there were some amazing fights throughout.
Well, that season is considered one of the best ones of Modern Precure and Yoshihiko Umakoshi went on to design the characters of Saint Seiya Omega:
And later do designs for My Hero Academia, so I would say that it worked out great. His stylized artwork works great on fight scenes, where there's a lot of movement and the characters show in a blur.
And jumping right to the opera boss.
If it's anything like most shows, usually famous artists and/or fan submissions.
He has my everlasting respect for lasting as long as he did.
It got more than most Netflix shows so I'll take what I can get
that was a great anime with an unfortunate bit of transphobia in the middle there but otherwise pretty good
