I thought that at first but we're at episode 9 with only two Gung-Ho Guns done for, so I'm now convinced there's another season planned.
I know, right??
one of my favourite scenes in the whole season honestly
The first episode of that has some very unwholesome content.
The original series, supposedly, had random adult segments because that was 'expected' at the time and was the only way it could get made, but Zero doesn't have anything quite along those lines(and later adaptations toned it down or revised it entirely).
It has no small amount of disturbing sequences, though.
Yeah, that segment is rough, and it's a direct connection to the final arc of the original story(and probably THE reason people say not to play Zero, because it spoils the plot twist about that character in Heaven's Feel).
Wholesome may be not a proper word to describe Fate/Zero here.
Also, while Fate/Zero takes place before other most popular Fate series, UBW, it is in fact prequel and was written after Fate/Stay Night released - just something to keep in mind if you end up unsatisfied by conclusions of some plotlines.
Zero was my gateway drug, along with Extra, and it's usually my recommendation to start with, because every episode moves the plot forward at a breakneck pace.
I love UBW, but you can feel the padding when the Special Cooking Works episodes happen.
Nichijou is incredible, and there aren't all that many shows reaching that level of quality(or production value), but one unappreciated show I can think of is Cuticle Detective Inaba.
Even Fate/Stay Night, in its most normal routes, has the format of "normal school life disrupted by emergence of the supernatural" and can often feel like "Shirou fights Boss 1, then Boss 2, then Final Boss" instead of multiple masters navigating around each other.
It also focuses on an adult cast, most of whom are clearly unrepentant, cold-blooded killers.
The best anime (that you can watch in under 2 minutes) is coming back for season 2.
Daily Lives of High School Boys
Wasteful Days of High School Girls
They've also updated the official Japanese website with a little synopsis for the beginning of cour 2 (automatically translated and then cleaned up by me):
Suletta Mercury, who has transferred from Mercury to the Asticassia School of Technology, has spent her school life full of meetings and excitement as a member of GUND-Arm Inc. and the groom of Miorine Rembrand. Two weeks have passed since the incident at Plant Quetta. Suletta spends her days at her school, looking forward to seeing Miorine again. On the other hand, Miorine is at the Benerit Group headquarters, watching over her father's condition. The two are faced with new difficulties and pressing decisions. With their own feelings in their hearts, the girls face the powerful curse of the Gundam.
And those bosses are exactly the same, on the same order, except for Heaven's Feel changing the final boss.
I am not joking. This is not a joke. Creed 3 is anime as hell, and wears its influences as a full-ass wardrobe.
Thinking it's time to ride this feeling and finally dip into Megalobox.

It's not really a movie. It's the last two episodes of season 2 smushed together with the first (double length) episode of season 3. Mostly there for superfans who want to see a bit of season 3 early but I can see people going to see it by accident not realizing what they're getting into.
Delicious in Dungeon
Kanojo mo Kanojo
Oshi no Ko
Others also seem like they could be real close but have more wiggle room to continue, like A Couple of Cuckoos, Call of the Night, and My Dress-Up Darling.
Keep in mind that DiD is a monthly manga, though, so even if it's only got a dozen chapters left that's still a year.
it was a 2 cour single season with a short break between cours basically
Just got out of it, that's exactly what it was, and it was great.
Really hyped for The Swordsmith Arc now.
They're screwed.
I'm guessing that the new one was actually supposed to go up after the Expo they're holding for the show this weekend. I'm guessing we'll get our first trailer for cour 2 this weekend as well.
Yozakura? You mean one of the longest running manga in the current Jump lineup? :rotate:
