I just got out of seeing Suzume
Anyways, I thought it was fine. I checked the time even before it got to the third act which kinda dragged.
Steam
Thank you. That was quite informative.
Also, I 100% get why Tsukasa says she's 1400 times 16 years old. She never displayed the stable maturity of someone in their 30s-40s-etc. I'm thinking "allowing Tsukasa to live, grow, and die as a human being" is the real goal her friends were/are trying to accomplish. I'm just imagining if Nasa fails, and Tsukasa has to watch her beloved husband grow old and die right in front of her like all her previous close ones while she remains 16 forever.
This does a lot to disarm the "I look 16, but I've been around for 1400 years" trope Tsukasa is borrowing.

Huh, well that answers that then

Even just "having a wife" is rare enough, but that seems to becoming more of a thing, with Hell's Paradise and Way of the Househusband having married main characters.
I cannot believe that the OS name hint was there the entire time.
Steam
I wish the How To Fight guy would come up with a plot that isn't "here's _yet another_ new gang for our heroes to fight", because, sheesh, the cast is already plenty big enough without even more never-seen-before tough folks just sort of showing up out of the blue. Though, to be fair, I appreciated these latest folks' sense of, I guess, disappointed outrage in response to:
Greatest Estate Developer is still fantastic in general ("What Is Our Motto?" "Safety First!"), and then there's things like the tonal switch between one panel and the next:
In the Tonikawa case I think it's because he's been drawing manga for 20 years. His early work was younger unmarried characters, but now he's older and married, so he draws that more easily. Write what you know, and all that.
I think it's telling they usually marry people in the industry as well
I think this was one of the most "I did not see the direction this was going to go" stories I've read in a fair while, especially because it is just a fairly normal romcom for an awfully long time.
That one was one I was kicking myself over too
Io9 also has an article up about the recent episode too, which feels unusual for a Gundam series to accomplish that, so yeah, WfM got big in popularity.
Spoilers within, obviously
There were a ton of hints in the beginning, but the payoff was great.
Though they also shift back and forth with the original genre as it goes on.
That's an impressively horrifying splash page of Big Mama and the Sumerians. Like... Damn.
I thought it was a good time, right before this character (and two further variations) showed up in the second half of Otaku no Video. Along with our nemesis, Anno himself.

This show is dope!
Tsu is the best, ribbit
The opening song is a banger
10/10, no notes
Oh don't worry, basically nobody's getting married in Japan these days anyways.
It was a bit of a slow burn, but the ending was extremely satisfying and overall I'd say it was Worth Watching. I'd probably put it ahead of Hero-king reincarnated as the strongest squire.
Perfect, amazing, no notes, we all loved it.
still good after all these years
Looking forward to the whole franchise coming out on Blu-Ray later this year.
