Speculation from today's Witch from Mercury
Didn't Prospera's helmet light up with a permet pattern when Aerial got disabled? Did they transfer Eri from Aerial into Prospera's helmet?

Perhaps Prospera only needed Suletta and Aerial to get Eri to rise to a certain permet score, and then she could discard both Suletta and Aerial and place Eri inside whatever Quiet Zero turns out to be.
I've been thinking about Permet. From what I understand the permet is basically an ore that is capable of transferring information, hence why Eri is "in" permet-land. Anything else containing permet could also then theoretically hold Eri -- gundams, helmets, other people with permet implamanted?
That would explain the mystery of why Suletta looks so much like Eri. It would also be a big pay-off to all the interaction with Elan as well. I think this is just twisted enough to be plausible.
in a sense it's cloning, but only the physical traits. At least, for now. The question for me is what would become of suletta if eri ceases to exist altogether -- is her body permanently shaped in that way ala "enhancement" or just temporarily containing that "information"
So my thought currently is that Suletta was operated on like the various Elans have been. I think Quiet Zero, in part, is going to put Eri in that body, and Suletta in Aerial. Or at least it is supposed to. Suletta could only go back to how she used to look through the same surgery I would guess.

    My One Piece prediction is
Luffy will find the One Piece but it will be something weird that most people don’t consider a treasure, so it flies under the radar. Buggy stumbles onto a big pile of traditional treasure and everyone assumes it is the One Piece and he publicly is crowed the Pirate King

    My emotions. MY EMOTIONS.

    Witch from Mercury, episode 17:
My god, that was brutal. I feel like Miorine kinda sunk to Prospera's level here, regardless of her intentions. And Suletta's scream during the match was upsetting, like she was on the ropes in a way we haven't seen..... (since the Shaddiq duel, I guess)

I really liked all the clear parallels to episode 1. A bully gets told off in the tomato house, but this time Guel's role is reversed. The duel starts the same way it did back then, with Suletta immediately slicing and dicing Guel's mobile suit. And of course, Miorine giving Suletta a speech and changing her clothes. There's even clearer parallels to their second duel, with people on the sidelines interfering on Guel's behalf.

Prospera's scheme this episode seems clear for once. Shaddiq seems pretty sure he's actually able to acquire Gund-ARM and Aerial, so Prospera moves her daughter into Jeturk's hands. (She has dirt on them, ever-so-conveniently.) Elan 5 jumping ship to seek refuge in Grassley is funny after watching Shaddiq negotiate with Peil. Maybe he just gets thrown back. I just wonder what's going to happen to Suletta next episode. I think Prospera might just ghost her, fulfilling Miorine's request in a twisted way.

I was going to segue more smoothly into this but fuck it, here's some speculation/ranting about Suletta's and Aerial's nature:
It's clear that Suletta is a separate entity from Eri, but I also think it's been well-signposted that ALL the Gund-Bits have their own soul and conciousness. There's been a theory that Suletta is just a highly sophisticated Gund-bit herself, but my chips are on "vat-grown clones." That's based purely on vibes, but I do think it's in the show's nature to have Suletta's backstory be: "12(+?) children were raised on Mercury, but one by one they started disappearing as Prospera transferred their consciousness into robots. But that's okay because they're all still together!"

I am still not sure if it’s any good and has something real to say or if it is just extremely horny.

I guess the most annoying thing is that Kintaro (fuck, his name is “Gold” and then ”taro”, like every protagonist in every Japanese fairytale, I just got that) is basically the same in every episode, it’s the people around him whose lives are changed forever by his presence, and I guess I’m not sure if that’s satisfying as a series arc.

It’s kind of like “What if Superman was a nomad and also gigantic horndog”, the anime.

Edit: Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure he straight up commits sexual assault in the swim episode, although 90s Japanese dudes' perceptions of what constitutes sexual assault are awfully collar-tuggy from what I remember of a lot of Anime in the 90s anyway....

That's certainly possible, but wouldn't Prospera just put Eri's original biometric code into a humanoid body, since her stated goal is to let her "live in freedom?"

Y'all wanna know what ruined Demon Slayer for me

I watched the Entertainment District arc on one of those TVs with the darned motion-smoothing turned to the max, and the 2D/3D animation layers felt like they completely detached from each other

There's an episode of Bob's Burgers where Teddy falls on the floor and starts flopping around in weirdly smooth high-quality animation, and all Demon Slayer's fights look like to me now is the characters doing that flopping motion with swords in their hands

    https://youtu.be/AkwqeYIO9zo

Like, take the animation in that clip, give Teddy a sword, and start bouncing him off of a bunch of walls or other Japanese-y background objects, and that's it that's the show

oh yeah I don't begrudge Demon Slayer having a certain place in the world, and it is probably a great Baby's First Battle Shonen for the kids these days - I pity the generation for whom that niche was filled by Fairy Tail and Seven Sins

I could see clone attempts as Elnora desperately, desperately attempting to reverse the process of moving Eri out of the Permet network and back into a human body, and only really compounding the issue further (are they separate identities, or just mirrors, whole or fractioned, of Eri herself from the process failing and then being imprinted within the staves?)

After 11 failures, I could see Elnora just breaking and pursuing the Quiet Zero plan as a method of giving Eri form outside of Aerial again; from what we’ve seen about how Aerial’s Permet network works, and what little they’ve said about Quiet Zero, my guess is it’s an enormous Permet field like we’ve seen her use a few times now, where the staves create a giant Permet enclosure and that, somehow, a consciousness that exists in the network should be able to manifest within that the space the particles occupy and able to freely move around without being confined to the mobile suit.

Ironically, it still very much seems like what happened to Eri is an accidental version of what Cardo Nabo had intended for the project to begin with: a fully synthetic body using GUND tech that would enable humanity to live in space… except because since it wasn’t planned, it wasn’t actually fully fit to be inhabited that way (Eri basically being rendered semi-mute, or not fully autonomous for 21 years being the clear issues with it so far; she exists within the Gundam’s own Permet network, but it doesn’t seem like she can treat the unit like a body without Suletta to help pilot it with her)

Yam, but that's not Japanese. It's Indo-something, and taro, where the name is Tarou. The Japanese word for taro is satoimo, which basically translates to rustic potato as opposed to satsuma imo (sweet potato).

Big boy is also really stretching it. It's more like eminent or great. As in first son or first born. You could say that 太 (standalone as futo, rather than ta) means fat, which is accurate, but that's like saying 太陽 means fat shine instead of the sun. Breaking apart kanji to their atomic pieces is rarely sensical. For names especially, in any language. A lot of names like Nathanial or Johnathon come from variations of "blessed by God."
