I gotta say though I was expecting this to be prettier though. Like it looks good but I guess I was expecting some sort of remaster effort even though none of the announcements I could find said they were doing that. I suspect this is the same video from the 2012 japanese blu ray release, so there's still some noise and the occasional jitter present. I eventually stopped noticing it.

There's an issue with the art in the Trigun manga where bullets, speed lines, and sound effects blend together and make it extremely hard to follow what's actually happening from panel to panel. It's seriously incoherent quite often, and I haven't seen many other action manga have this problem.
There I think we covered the full range of g-saviour emotions
if we're gonna have the spectrum of emotions we gotta get the irrational ones too
excuse you that's Andrew Graham and the LUMBER GUNDAM thank you
The live-action English-language Gundam movie that is set in the Universal Century, made as part of Gundam's 20th Anniversary celebration.
How good it is depends, I think, on how open a mind you have, and how much you enjoyed watching Sci-Fi Channel original programming.
The script and sets and general vibes feel very 90s Star Trek or Stargate SG-1, which has a campy appeal that is far from universal. The effects still hold up well for the era, IMO, and if the themes it digs into definitely engage with the ideas commonly considered by Gundam shows, even if it's a bit of a different spin on it.
It's also only 90 minutes so it's not like a huge time sink if you didn't especially care for it.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
i've never seen it fwiw
Secret memory unlocked
Oh you can get a copy of the DVD for around $20 still.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
looks like it's out of print and unavailable.
but yeah i was surprised by how watchable it was
taken as a *gundam* entry, it's awful, but the hilarious sort of bad, not offensively bad like some other stuff i could name
Well this sucks.

The ownership class is really looking to obviate the rest of humanity.
If they could find a way to assist artists drawing so they don't have to spend 120 hours a week per chapter, maybe, but the actual creation of original works should remain the domain of humans.
About the only community that I've seen truly push back on it as a whole has been the hentai doujin/manga group, which seems weird at first, but when you actually think about it, that's one of the places where the translation creators are massively funded by essentially dark money, a lot like the furry art scene. There is a genuine full fledged business in commissioning translations of things, and relatively few do it as 'fans' or whatever, and there's only like one or two official localization channels, which the self-published/doujin stuff doesn't really flow through well because of copyright issues.
I don't have a point here. Just rambling. It's depressing and disappointing in humanity, but machines doing the writing and translation has been a plague for a long while.
It may or may not just be up on YouTube.
I just finished watching it myself. They actually included the phone number/websites at the end for the Suicide Prevention Hotline.
Akane focused on all the people hating her, while ignoring/shutting out all the people who cared for her. Just incredibly true to life for people who struggle with these issues. I remember when I read it originally I was genuinely shocked Aqua managed to save her in time.
I thought they were deeply embarrassed by it
technically reconguista takes place far, far later. and I have no idea if gaia gear is still in canon at all (edit: given that its supposed to happen twenty years before g-savior, probably not)
and there's turn-a, however that fits (or doesn't)
Very underrated shows, I enjoyed them a lot. And boy they escalate fast.

The Pickle arc is not all that different from what has gone before, but it _is_, if possible, somehow dumber.
but I am very curious about the Baki -vs- his dad storyline, because the existing fan translations are, to be charitable, barely adequate as far as covering any of the actual details of what's going on beyond kick-punch(-its-all-in-the-mind, except that it sort of _is_ all in the mind at spots, and that's where the translations could do with some work)
