Ok, I have the MP3(s) I want to use as ringers on my phone, but I can't figure out how to actually use them for the rings themselves.

Anyone have a clue?

I've been exploring this in the last half hour for my phone. So far what I've had to do is convert my mp3's to ben 22050Hz and mono.

Same phone as mine? What'd you do?

I found a page that says what I'm supposed to do:

    http://erms.samsungusa.com/customer/sea/jsp/faqs/faqs_view.jsp?PG_ID=557&AT_ID=82934&PROD_SUB_ID=559&PROD_ID=789

I cannot do Step 4, however as there is no "MP3 Ringtone" option. I've tried sending them an email, but Samsung's site is awfully confusing as far as finding the right email to use.

While I don't have an Upstage, I do have a samsung phone with Sprint. If I put mp3's on the media card via USB or whatever, it won't let me make them ringtones.

However if I use www.rumkin.com to send them to my phone, I can.

Data charges will apply if you don't have a data plan, though.

If your phone has some sort of "create your own melody" tool, you can make a new song with one or two notes, then over-write the file with an mp3 using bitpim.
works flawlessly for me with my lg fusic.

    Is this hard to use?

Nope. You upload your file, and very shortly you will get a text message with a URL. Should take you right to your file. If for some reason it doesn't, when you upload it you will get a code that you can enter at a different url to download it.

Hrm, no text message and I can't figure out how to connect to the net on the phone. It only seems to link me to Yahoo and whatnot.

    Dammit!

Ah, figured it out. Had to put the webpage in (which SUCKS) but it worked!

    Whoo!

Another question. I'm trying to switch two numbers between two phones (Phone A/Number A and Phone B/Number B ---> Phone A/Number B and Phone B/Number A). I called them and they said they'd need 24 hours in which my phone would not be able to call, yet it does.

Anyone else done this sort of thing before?
