    That's because he's closely assosciated with the post structuralist movement. Which translates as "He speaks little but empty nonsense".

    He declared the mind to be torus shaped. IF you can figure out what that means then you're doing better than everyone else.

    Are you trying to fight your through some insane humanities class? I'm no expert but I don't think there is a lick of scientific evidence supporting Lacan's theories.

    Nah I'm not old enough for college yet, I'm going into my junior year of high school. I'm reading some shit from Slavoj Zizek and, while I understand his politics, I don't know any of his Lacanian references and that's the basis of his writings so it seems pretty important. (I do a lot of debate, Zizek and other people whose writings are heavily influenced by Lacan are very popular. I might be able to get an explanation at camp, but the sooner the better.)
