I tell you guys what I wish, that the BC was better involving mics. It's just frustrating when talking makes for a jarbled mess of speech, it just leads me to either not talk or even not bother playing because I don't want to seem like the odd man out who doesn't talk.
it probably sounds too petty and cliquey, but i'm wondering if we have enough future UK-based Halo 3 owners, to get a Team GB together as a TBK offshoot.
Maybe, I think Rohaq was our only british guy though, and he never plays anymore.
Ragin Ross had like two other scots with him, Sanders was Netherlands, Duck was NZ, I really can't think of more than 5 UK types or Eurotrashes running with the clan over the past 3 years. Never was much of a point to playing together anyway as pings were usually so troublesome, I'm sure you could get Fraggle and some other 360Arcs together for a subclan but we'd appreciate the certain appeal of having a little culture and class amid our filthy typical American trash talk. We all hang here and talk anyway, may as well roll as one.
yeah, i didn't mean to sound like stealing people away from TBK at all, that'd be redundant. I was sorta thinking like if there were enough, we could arrange some international matches or something, like a regular UK/US fight, but all play together for other clan matches. But i honestly don't know if anyone would actually be interested in that. As it is, i'll be applying for TBK when i've got my copy of Halo 3.
edit: also, it would totally warrant a picture of the Chief in a top-hat and monocle.

I would like to carry my TBK membership badge into Halo 3 so whomever gets the dubious honor of Overlord needs to send me a clanvite.
As Tin said, being on the staff list is not about how long you have been in the clan, but about your level of maturity and ability to not start up random crap in game or on the boards. The staff section of the old forums was filled with threads not about how fun being staff is, but about who is mad at who and lists of old members and new people. Thrill, you know what you did and you know what happened. The list Fyre made was also based on who has been active in H2 recently so that is another reason why Default and Silent were not there.
We do not know what the clan lists will be like for H3. We don't even know how many members each clan can have. So for now, let's not be arguing about what clan roles so and so should have. When we do learn about it, we will have plenty of time to sort it out.
LOL, Tomcat gets shafted again. If he would get a real name and stop changing accounts every month he would be up there too.
I'm OK with a UK/EU section of TBK. You guys are welcome to it. In fact, the reason Rohaq was chosen as a staff member way back then was to organize you guys since the time differences really split us apart anyway.

Actually, with how many people are going to want in, I think it'd be better for us to sort it out now using the assumption that it will function the same as Halo 2's clans, then make any changes necessary to accommodate Halo 3's system.
Obviously all the current and past members will want in and should have a spot reserved, which I'm guessing will take up about 50 spots once release draws nearer and all the ancients begin resurfacing. Assuming clans still only support 100 members, that'd leave us with about 50 spots left for new guys, which could fill up very quickly given the size of these boards. How should we go about choosing who's in and who's not? First come, first serve, or some kind of douchebag triathlon where we put them through a few games with us to make sure they can put up with Tin's incessant bitching without turning into a raging black abyss of cocks and screaming?

To keep in following with our fast food themed names for plasma pistol combos, the small roundish shape of the grenades led to the idea of throwing a chicken nugget.
Crazy cats I'm heading onto H2 for shenanigans. if any of you want to participate, I will whisper you sweet nothings as I drop a roofie into your drink.

So I read PA. I hang out at the forums. I play Halo 2 (somewhat effectively). I own a 360. And I have my Legendary Edition H3 paid off and will play the shit out of it come Sept.
Sorry about that, EDM. My brother threw a tantrum (as he always seems to do) to play, so I had to quit.
GOD DAMN IT I CANT FUCKING STAND HIM THE HATEFUL SELFISH LITTLE FUCKING BRAT
Get the kid a second controller and let him play along. So long as he isn't screaming about "chocolate milk" you might actually end up bonding over the thing.
Keenbean you'll get an invite.
Yea, there's basically limitless possibilites to Forge, so dicking around and playing Jenga or checkers or chess or whatever else we can build in engine- Shoots and Ladders, all kinds of bizarre ramps, Forts, BOmbardment on Valhalla with Wraiths... it's gonna be good times.
Really, no one needs to be ranked higher than a member unless they're actually needing to control who is added to the clan and who is ejected. Its not about prestige, its work and a responsibility so unless you're actively trying to make things better for people and the clan, you have no business being higher than a member, it just causes problems.
Also dammit Thrill that sig gets me weird looks from the people around me when I scroll past it and it freezes up the screen for a second in computer lab.
I don't have most of you on my friends list since I used to rely on the Halo 2 clan list for that. Obviously that isn't regularly available to me so I have to see if Blakout, Nambkababababa, or Repoman are playing.
Just send me an invite (through the clan list, I am Default Fiasco) and hopefully it'll work through the new live network and I'll get it.

So looks like my moving day's been pushed from August to September and since my current connection is shitty, I'll give up my spot for the month. Besides, I probably wont be able to play online till the 25th anyway due to moving and utility set up and all that.

yes, yes, and yes. My brother frequently asks if he can play when i am, so he just picks up a controller and joins in. He's also much better than me (i tend to be the average team-player, get about 10 kills a match, grab the flag, plant the bomb, throw my flabby corpse in the way of anyone coming the other way etc.) whereas he'll be sat somewhere racking up the kills.
Forge sounds like the perfect 'chatroom' environment, and very Garry's Mod-esque. I can't wait to get 16 people on it and just fart around, seeing what happens. Going to be much fun.
And dammit, that sig flashing away on my screen does not help things.

Hey, fuck you, man.
Actually no, that's pretty much spot on. I would be playing more at the moment, but it's a case of needing to get a wireless adapter for my 360, I just, err, I dunno, I can afford it, but don't want to pay so much :P

I don't want to be anything more than just a plain, vanilla "member". I don't have the time to dedicate towards sailing the SS TBK.
The perfect average "member" role is somewhere in between Member and Peon. While it is nice to have the ability to msg everyone in the clan, it is not nice to have the ability to send clan invites. The Staff and higher should be the only ones to be able to send out invites because they are the only ones that can remove people. It's not a power struggle issue, but an organization one. Instead of the staff constantly having to scan the entire member list to look for that random person that someone met after a late night of playing and invited into the clan on a whim and then ask, "Who the hell is this guy?" and then have to wait a few days to figure out who the hell that person is, all the while someone on the boards wants to get into the clan and all we can say is, "sorry, you will have to wait till we figure out who the hell is this random person is and why he was invited instead of you who had requested and then waited for a while." Yeah, not so fun.
i'm happy being a mere subject, hell if i can handle the responsibility of anything above 'point weapon in the right direction'
edit: which, seeing as how i've maybe played one game with anyone on TBK, makes perfect sense.
regarding UK-based folk, i can think of myself, Rohaq, Willeth, Frag, the_scarab, ben0207.. anyone else? Hotlead's got a 360 now, but i'm not sure about Live.
How about we keep the overlords we have right now? I'm very pleased of my position of being a Staff member. There are people who have been around since the beginning of the clan but rarely play, I think its up to the Overlords to decide who becomes a part of the elite brood.

At least in Halo 3 that won't be a problem.

Gosh! I still play regularly and totally helped start TBK with Recoil!
If I'm not Overlord in Halo 3, why I'll...I'll...I'll.... be perfectly cool with it :P
Hahaha, as long as I get to say GET TO DA CHOPPA!! until it becomes no longer funny, then becomes funny again...i'll be perfectly content.
Just for that everytime I play with you I'm just going to destroy every single Chopper I see before you get into one.
Why must you hurt me so?
I still
Just makes it more dramatic if you almost make it to the choppa when it suddenly erupts into a giant ball of flaming Spartan.

Back when Halo 2 launched and the 6-7 months after I was super hardcore on XBL for it.
