I'm waiting for the Halo 3 version to replace mine that suddenly wouldn't turn on after almost exactly one year. The H3 ones are going to have newer tech inside.

Famitsu probably had some "scoop" deal with Bungie/MS. The same with Gamepro. To me it's pretty much the same thing. I get my E3 news from the net, and I got this news from the net. Bungie/MS could release info at E3 or get some moneys and have a game mag pay them for it. Either way, it ends up on the net for all to see.

It sucked how we kept getting split up there with 7 man parties, but we kept running into the same party for no less than 5 games so I believe it was meant to be. As she sang the holy praises of her fiance and advised us not to even confront him or we would suffer a quick death, we bombed the hell out of them. It was the other two randoms on our team giving her hell, I was more than willing to listen to her strategies. But the fact she was making a big deal out of her level 20 was hilariously sad. Also your mic sounded weak Z, maybe its just the 360 ones but Fyres voice is the only one that sticks out for me anymore, everyone else is muffled. Hopefully the new H3 mics are superior quality. How'd the ebay auction turn out?

The last few times I tried to play, I was more or less running in circles getting BRed/sworded/grenaded without a clue what was going on (since I know none of the 4000 maps the game has these days). We've happy to have anyone we know in some way play with us, its still better than a random person who leaves the game or doesn't follow orders. I'll tell you what to do and try and improve your game if possible, at this point none of us really plays to achieve dominant victory, we're just out to have a good time, stay sharp for Halo3 and get some new guys in, which we've been doing alot lately to great success. It doesn't matter if we suck now, it just means you'll be that much better and know the team and our strats better by the time we're all training 100 more nooBees for Halo3.
Also, I've never read the Halo novels, I tend to waste my reading hours on real literature not hastily written fan service garbage. The graphic novel was pretty okay however.
I don't really plan on playing Halo 2 ever again after Halo 3 comes out.

Yea, I'm just now coming to the point where I realize I've basically missed out on the past 2 years worth of games because I've been doing nothing but playing Halo2 and Guitar Hero. So now I have about 30 games to play in my backlog and to track down that came out during that time. It's been pretty cool though, finding them all for really cheap and just marathon playing them to beat a game in a week or so. It's a race against time to defeat and acquire them all for my collection before the last gens disappear forever and I have to start playing Halo3 which will make all older games look weak sauce in comparison.
I have the wireless mic, its peachy keen with 360 games. But it hates Halo 2, as a matter of fact I've had that problem with just the normal 360 mic too. Which is making me tempted to just strap my old mic to my hat and play it on the bawkz instead. At least then I come in crystal clear.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. There's still just so much we don't know about the Special Edition Halo3 console. Some assumed it would be an Elite, others think its this new model- Falcon with hardware revisions and HDMI whatever the hell I won't use. Once we hear the official word on these things, like an actual line reading, "THESE CONSOLES ARE GUARAN- FUCKING- TEED NOT TO FAIL DUE TO RED LIGHTS OR OVER HEATING OR ANY OTHER CRITICAL DESIGN FLAW"- then ya, sure I'll buy one. I don't want any warranty, just a console that isn't born to die. I don't want any extra HD space for gay movie downloads, I rent movies. I don't want space for fucking Arcade shit, I own every old console there is. I don't need High Definition shit, I have an old tv.
I just want a system to play some fucking good games on- apparently that is too much to ask. Still I'm thinking it may be some time before the stores clear out old models and I can find the Halo system, but I'm patient, I can wait another year if I have to.
Says September. The headset and the painted controllers will be out on the 19-20th of September though. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch to have the consoles go on sale then too.

I'll play tomorrow some, I had a LAN party tonight for 6 hours or so... Its so nice to get back in touch with the classic, personal halo feel. It was halo 2 (not 1) but LAN is still infinitely better than Live.

I'm about half way through the first book (The Fall of Reach) and I must say it's surprisingly good and it makes Halo seem so awesome and also makes me wish the actual games were better and matched how good the book is.
I also have the next 2 books (I borrowed all of them from a friend) which I'll read before Halo3 comes out and it will hopefully make me look forward to Halo3 because currently I'm not excited at all.. and I have the Legendary edition pre-ordered (Little brother is giving me some $ to pay the difference between the CE and Legendary editions).
