Fuck my two friends that have 360s and are somehow busy this weekend, I may never play Halo3 at this rate.
You're just gonna have to break down and buy a 360. Honestly let me say after playing the four rounds I did today (only four because fuck the cannot connect to bungie servers bullshit) I really can wait for Halo 3. It wasn't that great. And frankly it introduced a learning curve big enough that I can wait til I have it myself.
Story gets a thumbs up from me now that I've completed it. I'll be rolling in mp goodness starting sometime tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be able to find an ethernet port at the hotel I'll be staying in this upcoming week for work.

Yea, I have no idea how to get the Security Shoulders. I have 800gs in H3 and don't have them. No source on the internet is accurate about that fact. They seem to just copy/paste one another.

Hey so, apparently somehow I got the Scout shoulders. I don't know how or where, because when I looked after I got "Chop" I know I didn't have them. But I do now, so there.
I'll try to be on in a day or two, and I'm actually attempting to get my girlfriend a Live account so she can play with us and not feel left out.
Rumble Playlists have always been fast level-ups due to the fact that you can place not first and still level up.
I remember jumping up to about 28 in Rumble in just 3 days in Halo 2..
I jumped from 20 to 35 in less than two hours. (Accumulative)
I think the leveling system in Halo 3 is much more generous. From 20 to 22, then to 24 etc. It was like that up until level 30. I'm at 35 and I think Silent is at 39.
Now I'm stuck fighting mad serious dudes who want to win hardcore while all I wanted were those achievements for the armor permutations.
I hate that the achievements (and thus permutations) are Lone Wolves-only, I've always hated FFA in Halo.
And I really can't wait until we get classic TBK back together, I keep finding my way into parties with incredibly annoying, loud, screechy-voiced people.

Yeah, the achievement thing is annoying. I've gotten almost all those medals in the Social games already but they don't count.

In one of the bungie podcasts, they said clan support should come sometime a bit after the Halo 3 launch.
No official announcements from MS, but that more or less confirms it I guess.
Unless there is new info..... in one of the podcasts a few weeks before release, Bungie mentioned that they are redoing their website and adding more features to help with clan organization. The same time Major Nelson also suggested that MS will be adding the clan function directly into the dash in the next update.
Stickies - Load up a custom and stand still. Chuck one. Look where it goes and how it travels. Move in to the left and chuck one. Look how it moves and travels. Do this for every direction. A lot. You'll soon learn where to aim when chucking one from certain distances. Helped me a hell of a lot. If you can get a test subject even better. You could just charge people and stick them close range without caring how the match goes.

We didn't get a ethernet cable with our 360, and when we called in to get one sent to us. The guy at Microsoft marked it wrong.
