Question about Boom Boom Rocket...

When you max your bonus bar in Boom Boom Rocket, you can then trigger the bonus round, which has a X16 multiplier, and when it's over, it goes back to X2. How many times per song can you do it?
I've never had it happen more than once per song, except when I press start to pause the game. If I pause, unpause, then get back to max, it gives me another bonus round, and I can just do that all the time and spend half the song in bonus mode.
Did I miss some key gameplay element or did I find a bug? O_o

Hmm, I'll have to play again and see, I guess. I could swear when I was playing it only appeared once even though I managed to refill my meter afterwards.
It only prompts you once in awhile, but I've done it everytime my meter is full regardless if the message is there or not.
That could be it. The message only appears the first time and then I gotta figure it out on my own?
Thanks for the help. That might explain why my scores suck so bad.
