Guys, I don't really game, but I was under the impression that the PS3 is a pretty solid system.
Am I mistaken?
I'd buy one if it weren't for the brutal butthurt that sony put on me with that Disc Read Error shit last generation.
From a hardware reliability perspective, it seems like Sony's the horse to pick.
Seeing as how the number of dead 360s I own is creeping ever closer to the dead PS2 count, I might be inclined to agree with you here.
I heart my PSP, but the memories of having to take my PS2 apart and fiddle with it every single time I wanted to play it has left me hesitent to drop 600 on Sony's latest effort.
i still have my ps2 from when it just came out.
i play it more than my xbox 360.
but i dont really play either very much, and if i play a game at a friends house its usually on the xbox360.
I got mine when they came out and it got dres up the ass. I sent it in once but then when it happened agin I had opened it up to monkey around with it. That only fixed it for a little bit but I couldnt send it back.
Oh well. Atleast the drive bay is a nice hiding place.

nah, for hardware reliability, it's always nintendo.
ps3s tend to overheat just as much as 360s, you just never hear about it much because only like 20 people own them
Because the Wii seems like a different beast entirely.

xbox360 is for poor people.

My first few broke because my dumbass roommates would leave it running for weeks at a time.
