    Isuka isn't that good, anyway.

...can't they just do an X3?

I hope that stick attaches to the remote making it semi-wireless

That would guarantee a purchase i love my Fighting Stick 2 but the cord is too short and there's no home button.

Glad to see that the announcement is now official. I'm highly anticipating Accent Core; I feel justified in buying it since I've poured so much time into X2. And AC in the arcades..

As for controller talk, I personally love the feel of the classic con. It's comfy and the buttons are nice to the touch, and the Dpad feels excellent. I look forward to using it for this game.

It's nice that we'll have plenty of controls options though. I'll give waggle a shot just for kicks, then switch back to the Classic Con. The GC pad might work, perhaps. We'll see.

I believe I recall Slash saying the Wii is and will probably continue to get a fucking ton of 2d love, that fucking thing is tangible evidence to support such a claim. For my part, Smacky's right that it could be on the GC...but I say

Well, SNK will definitely continue to heavily support the Wii, both with retail releases and on the Shop Channel (they will also continue to support the PS2 and PSP and the DS). In no vague terms SNK stated that the PS3 is simply too expensive to develop and publish for at this point in time. They may or may not feel that way about the 360, not sure. They haven't said anything about supporting the PSN or Live arcade, but this would also be logical for them since they have stated that they will support the Wii VC/Wii Ware. As a side note, SNK did a poll on their website about which next gen system that their fans wanted them to support most -- and the Wii garnered the highest number of votes, with the PS3 falling very far behind, and the 360 falling shortly behind the PS3.

I'm uncertain where ArcSys and Sammy will go next after they've milked GG X2 for all its worth. The Atomiswave hardware is super easy to bring games to the Wii and PS2/PSP, and they might feel as though there still isn't a market for retail games on the PS3 and 360 the way SNK does. So it makes sense to support the Wii right now.

I'd like to see a Guilty Gear X3 soon, too. ArcSys is insanely talented and there's a lot of awesome stuff that they could do for the series. I guess they'll get around to it whenever people can finally get off of the GGXX addiction.. which doesn't look to be slowing down any time soon. I mean, hell, I still play and love GGX2. It's one of my favorite fighters up with KOF and SF Alpha.

As an update...I did my interview with Aksys over this game today, and will be transcribing and prettifying the story up in the near future. Good stuff there.

    Nice.

Also, the JPN PS2 release of this game was apparently very buggy, but is being fixed for the NA release of the game on PS2/Wii.

If it is compatible with GC controls then it is also compatible with Hori pad and GC arcade sticks.

I don't know, Lewie. I'm kinda concerned about that. With Metal Slug Anthology, you could use a GCN pad to play the game, but when I plugged in a Pelican multiconsole thing via the GCN connector, the game didn't recognize it..

That may be because my Pelican arcade controller was utter crap or broken, or maybe the multiconnector funks out on the Wii, or maybe the Wii didn't like the third party GCN pad, or maybe the game didn't like that the arcade controller wasn't a 'standard' Wii/GCN pad, or something.

Hopefully it was the arcade controller and not the wii or the game denying use of the controller, and that we'll be able to use whatever we want from the GCN to play GGXX AC.

hmm, I do remember one game (possible metal slug anthology) didn't work with the Hori pad because it needed analogue controls, and th e hori pad is just a dpad, and it doesn't substitue an analogue stick.
