CD-RW drive won't open

I have a Sony CRX320EE CD-RW drive in my computer, and I can't get the damn thing to open when pressing the button. Vista Business recognizes it, both in the device manager (which says it's working fine) and under the (my) computer screen. I haven't tried using this drive until today as I have a regular CD-ROM drive that I use most of the time.

Any ideas?

Paper Clip, in the hole, for massive damage (basically if you have to use this method to open it everytime you should buy a new CD-RW/DVD-RW drive, they are dirt cheap now anyway). :)

    More specifically...

There should be a small hole in the front of your CD-RW drive somewhere. Take a paper clip and push it in there firmly until the tray pops out a bit. Then, you need to grab the tray and manually pull it out.

You could also try going into My Computer and rightclick > eject

Tried that, didn't work. Actually, when I tried double-clicking the drive's icon (as doing that will eject what's in my ROM drive), I get an "Application not found" error. I checked the driver, but it appears to be up-to-date.
    Use a paperclip

That does work, but I'm hoping to find a more permanent solution, short of replacing the drive. Since I can't reach the drive myself (disabled, wheelchair, blah blah blah), it's not fair of me to ask my mom or other visiting family members to use a paper clip every time I want to burn a CD.

Best bet if this problem keeps up is to just buy a new one. There a piece of cack to install and dirt cheap now. Just tell your Mom you dont want to keep bugging her all the time when you on the computer and Im sure she will hook you up :-)
