    The Guardian Legend is a classic NES shooter, in which there are both vertical scrolling ship levels and action/adventure like maze levels. Think Blaster Master, but instead of hopping out of a ship, the ship transforms into a humanoid form for the exploration parts. I played the crap out of this game back in the day. I'd love to elaborate more, but I'm at work and can't remember much more about the game at the moment.

    Yes indeed. Compile created some of the best shmups out there. I just finished playing Zanac for about the zillionth time myself.

    haha thats what I was thinking.

    Seriously, Guardian legend is easily one of my favorite games. If this could somehow get a sequal or remade in some form I would die. Game had some pretty amazing music too.

    A simple, yet game-changing password.

    More often than not, I found it more fun to blast through the game in 'TGL' mode than adventure mode. It was more challenging as well.

    The Guardian Legend has some of the best music on the NES. I find myself whistling some of the tunes when I'm walking every so often.
