I was trying to get into the #pauo channel for the Angel Island group, but I can't get myself to connect. I've never done IRC before.
I downloaded mIRC as suggested by slashnet.org, but now I can't figure out how to set up an account.
Can anyone walk me through the initial steps of accessing an IRC channel on slashnet for the first time?

All you should have to do when you have a terminal open is:
/server server.whatever.com
/nick MegaMan007
/join #pauo
I havn't touched IRC in years, but I think that should work fine.

Woo, thanks Bombardier, the command worked just fine. This can be locked.

I know your problem was solved but i thought this might be helpful. Should cover just about everything you need to know to get started.
