I need to find some semi-working gauges and such for a project I'm working on, but while I need the gauges to display something (perferably with random changes) they're not actually going to be hooked up to anything. Is there even any kind of vendor that makes something like this? Or would I be best off just trying to rig up something on my own?

If there is a vendor that sells such a thing, you can bet it would be far cheaper to make your own.

What are they going to be installed in? You just hook them into a microphone or something and have them meter ambient noise.

To be honest, just a sheet of painted cardboard. I hadn't thought of just measuring ambient noise though..
