Vyolynce beat Xenogears of Bore with some of the most bullshit hax ever.
I trounced ChopperDave, but then again, I'm pretty great, so it's to be expected.
Ashton Dragon didn't even give JetBlackCenter a fighting chance.
MinionofCthulu beat DarkPrimus.
Shujin Katana beat RedShell.
Faustum received a bye.
In a stunning upset, Taya defeated champion of the people RedMageDarion with that creepy-ass windchime.
Mystic_Knight beat Jammers.
BahamutZERO beat TheMorningStar, with a sincer promise to smell him later.
Tacofiend beat Buzz Buzz in what he described as "the closest match of his life."
Munkus Beaver beat Kuribo's Shoe, who proceeded to swear a lot afterwards.
Varg beat angrylinuxgeek.
SirToasty received a bye.

ROUND 2 SUMMARY:

PingPong beat RockinX. The match wasn't exactly an upset, but it sure upset Taya (I'm so witty.)
Fleck0 beat Vyolynce.
I totally kicked Ashton Dragon's ass... oh who am I kidding he rocked the fuck out of me.
Shujin Katana beat Minion of Cthulu.
Faustum never showed up to his match, and so Taya and that damn Chimecho won by default.
BahamutZERO beat Mystic_Knight.
Munkus Beaver raped Tacofiend softly.
Varg beat SirToasty

ROUND 3 SUMMARY:

Fleck0 showed up just in time for PingPong to defeat him.
In a major upset, Shujin Katana beat Ashton Dragon.
BahamutZERO put Taya and her damn Chimecho to rest.
Munkus Beaver beat Varg.

SEMI-FINALS SUMMARY:
Shujin Katana turned Super Sayan and beat PingPong.
Munkus Beaver whooped BahamutZERO's sorry ass.

THE FINAL ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT IS UPON US! WHO SHALL TAKE HOME THE GLORY! WHO SHALL BE CRUSHED BY THE LETHAL HAMMER OF DEFEAT!

CHAMPIONSHIP SUMMARY:
Munkus and Shujin had an epic battle, that all came down to the luck of a quick claw. Luck was with Shujin, however, and he defeated his last opponent.

TOURNAMENT CHAMPION:


Shujin! Congratulations on your victory.

Tournament Rules:
-Sleep Clause: you may not put more than one of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep at a time.
-Species Clause: your team must be comprised of six different species of Pokemon.
-Item Clause: No two Pokemon on your team may be holding the same item.
-Suicide Clause: If both players are down to their last Pokemon, the player with the first Pokemon to hit 0 HP is the loser. In other words, using moves like Self Destruct and Explosion cause you to lose, even if it kills your opponent. However, using a move with a recoil that kill both you and your opponent are a win for you.
-The bracket for the first round will be posted at 12 PM EST Monday. MrBlarney will PM you your opponent's team list to you afterwards, and you will have 24 hours to battle your opponent. The winner of the match must report his victory to this thread. I am the final authority in the event of discrepancy, unless I'm participating in the battle. In that case, it's Blarney's call.
-You must use the six Pokemon that you PM to MrBlarney for the duration of the tournament.
-No Legendary Pokemon whatsoever.
-No Wobbuffet, no Wynaut.
-If a Pokemon taps out, goes limp, or yells "stop," the match is over.
-No shirt, no shoes.
-Battles will go on for as long as they have to.
-If this is your first night at Pokemon Tournament, you have to-- wait.
-Until the start of Round 1, these rules are subject to change.
-Breaking any of these rules will result in instant disqualification.

I'm fairly certain more than two people have dropped out. However, I wasn't really keeping track.

At 3 AM EST tonight/tomorrow morning, ever participant's team MUST be PMed to MrBlarney. You'll be given a 30 minute grace period, and if you still haven't PMed him after that, you will be disqualified.

So wait, same species. That means you can't run Vigoroth and Slaking, or are you not counting useful second evolutions under that rule?

By "same species" I mean you can't run two of the same pokemon. Members of the same evolution line are still counted as separate species.

You only have to PM the species. However, Blarney asks that you give him everything. He'll only PM your species list to your opponent, but if/when you lose, he wants to post up your entire team of failure for all to see.
