I think that would have resulted in second-round byes for some people, which is even less desireable than multiple first-round byes. This isn't a modified Swiss event, after all; brackets are brackets.

Thanks - I caught 2 of em and the third was off gts...all have bad natures and IVs but I them anyways.
I was worried at first about the gts shiny - but after seeing the junky IVs, I assumed it was a clone from emerald so that cleared my book..... the shiny palkia someone tried to shove at me however......yeah - the off center numbers in the experience box followed by a question mark and the information stating it was found on route 202 meant that I sent that one packing.
( If you use the pokeradar/shiny information on the bulbagarden.net forum, its pretty easy to grab em - I have 5 from using the radar. Takes some practice to get it right but on the bright side you can do it in small increments if you leave the DS in sleep mode)
As for the match, I totally had no idea what to do with the first pokemon when I saw yours..... definitely started arguing with myself out loud - then remembered that if you could hear me, I probably sounded a tad silly >.>
