It really gives me a Galactic Federation feel, reminds me of the GF troopers in Metroid Prime 2. This is what makes me think this suit is the Varia Suit with GF modifications/repairs.

Depends. Since you haven't been through it before it will be longer, obviously. I'm the obsessive explorer/collector type, so I think my first playthrough was like 20 hours or something. I pulled that number out of my ass, actually. I can't remember how long it was because it was years ago.

Well, she's a quadraped as opposed to the Alien Queen being a two legged creature, has an almost aligator like head with a gaping maw as opposed to the Queen Alien's relatively small mouth (in comparison to her overall size), no head-chompy mini-mouth inside her actual mouth and no crown which is arguably the definative feature of the Queen from Aliens.
so my worst fear has come true, i booted up prime, saw i was 6 and haf hours in, and realized i have absolutely no fucking idea of where to go and what i need to do. after jumping around for a half an hour, a message showed up saying something about magmoor caverns, i checked my map and i have no clue how to get there.
sigh...i really dont want to start over again, ive tried beating this game maybe 4 or 5 times already...
My advice? Go to Gamefaqs and look it up. I've had to do that a couple of times with both MP1 and 2 after taking an extended break.
I love how enourmous the in game worlds seems but I always have to talk myself into picking either one of them up again after an extended break because the thought of having to basically relearn the entire map all over again gives me a sense of impending doom :P
ill give it a shot, but to be honest, i dont even know what i just got done doing in the game. i thought it was the giant sheegoth fight, but im nowhere near the phandaaran drifts or whatever.
i dont know what ill look up going forward if i dont know where im coming from. i guess thatd be my one gripe about this game and the main reason i havent tried echoes at all, because you need to play the game from start to finish with practically no interruptions, otherwise youre fucked.
yeah, and that happened, but like i said, im in a completely different area, and the message only says where to go, not how to get there. after not playing for a couple months, its pretty daunting.
edit: reading a faq, i guess i beat the stone boss after the sheegoth and got the wavebeam and the spiderball.

I think it gives you a health meter for the first adult sheegoth encounter. They become regular enemies after that.
